We are in no way denying that *** had a flare up with her rosacea This could have happened anywhere that she received treatments and was not an intentional act on our part Her dermatologist confirmed that she has rosacea and now she can tailor her regimens to that skin condition Rosacea is not something that developed from the facial skin conditions like this exist in the skin already and can present themselves from a number of things including: diet, alcohol, skin care products, heat etc Yes *** did pay for the two facials but we can in no way understand why she is asking for a refund on both She herself had no problems during or after her facial Our business runs on commissioned services which each one of these ladies received a full treatment If at anytime they were not provided satisfactory service they have the right to terminate the service Neither of these ladies did that so we feel it is only fair that they pay for the treatments they received We DO NOT require tips that is for each client to decide so why after you enjoyed your service ask for this back too We would have gladly ended this dispute with the return of the used products for a refund but *** refuses to give them back to us Why should we give away products and services for free? Please note that *** is already trying to stop payment on her *** *** card that she used to pay for the two facials

Loop South, Ste. 1200 Houston, TX 77027 Phone: (713)868-9500 Fax: (713)867-4947 [email protected] Company’s Statement:     On July 2, 2016 both [redacted] and [redacted] received facials from aestheticians that they requested to see.  Both ladies are return clients and have had facial treatments here most recently in January of 2016.  As stated in the Customer Letter to the Revdex.com [redacted] claimed to have “extreme skin break-out”.  Facials are a very detoxifying treatment and when you have extractions done to remove the impurities that are ready to be taken out the stimulation can lead to additional breakouts.  As quoted here from LA Aesthetician [redacted] “When you detoxify, your body rids itself of toxins and impurities, oftentimes through the skin. Getting rid of this junk can give you more energy than you’ve ever had before and it can leave your skin looking luminous. But before you get to that luminous point, you may first break out in pimples or rashes as toxins release through the skin.”  Every individual’s skin is different and each will have their own unique response to treatments.  When [redacted] returned to the spa for her Aesthetician to look at her skin, Magdalena (Aesthetician) stated she had a few minor breakouts that would be normal after a deep cleansing facial which the client received.   Upon initial booking of the appointments the mother and daughter asked multiple times about discounted services, our receptionist let them know about the current specials we were offering but it didn’t apply to the services that they themselves chose.       [redacted] came into the spa on Tuesday July 5, asking initially only to return the products that she on her own accord purchased on her visit on July 2.  The products were the same products that she had purchased in the past.  The products had been opened and were more than a third of the way used.  We have a sign clearly displayed at the front desk where all of our clients check out that states “Dear Valued Clients: We are unable to exchange or return any purchased products” (picture included).  There was not a manager present and the front desk is not allowed to make decisions regarding any type of refund.  She then let the front desk know about her breakouts and was asked if she could return the following day so that the Aesthetician that she initially saw could take a look at her skin and make an assessment.      On July 6 [redacted] returned to the spa and Magdalena looked at her skin and only a few breakouts were present.  As stated above having breakouts after a cleansing facial is common and not a sign of an allergic reaction or any damage to the skin.  [redacted] let us know that she had visited a dermatologist and that the facial had given her acne.  This however would be impossible as acne is a sebaceous gland disorder and can not be given to someone through a treatment.  Acne is a complicated cycle happening inside the skin pores and the cycle starts weeks before a pimple surfaces. Magdalena is our spa’s Lead Aesthetician who has performed over 7,000 facials in her 9 years at Derma Technique.  We asked [redacted] if we could take pictures of her skin as we need documentation for our records.  She refused to let us do so stating that “she had taken enough pictures herself.”  Management had decided to go ahead and refund her products and then [redacted] stated that she wanted a refund for her facial treatment too.  In addition to this [redacted] then let us know that her daughter [redacted] was seeking a refund on her facial as well.  Up to this [redacted] had not made any contact with Derma Technique or made any inclination that she had any issues with her services.  As a company we were taken back by the actions of these ladies and as we put all the pieces together realized this was a scam.  [redacted] was in the spa for 45 mins on this occasion she was aggressive and threatening to our front desk staff refusing to leave until she got a full refund.  All of this occurring during out normal business hours.  [redacted] refused to leave to products which she so readily wanted to return and told our staff that we could “just damage them out” and still give her the money back.     July 7 [redacted] says she will not return to the spa and now wants one of our staff to come to her place of business and pick up the products that she would not leave with us the day before.     We pride ourselves on providing every client with a relaxing visit when they spend their time with us.  From the start these two ladies were looking for a discount, which is not a bad or uncommon occurrence, this is why we run different specials each month offering great deals on different services.  In the days leading up to their appointments the ladies would call to see if we could do anything else with the price and also let us know that they had shopped around with some other spas in the area and found “better” prices and wanted to know if we could match them.  On Saturday July 2, 2016 both ladies received full facial treatments and were given samples of products to try at home.  Both aestheticians walked their clients to the front where they gave them the samples answered any questions they had and thanked them for their visit.  [redacted] and [redacted] then checked out with the front desk and had only good things to say about their services.  Being in this industry customer services is our number one priority.  We as a company feel that as we tried to reconcile the original issue, being the return of used products by [redacted], we were met with only more discontent and additional refunds.  Derma Technique staff and management tried to work with [redacted] but at every turn were met with resistance.  Both ladies received treatments that if they were not satisfied with could have stopped at any time.  [redacted] chose to purchase products and use them on her own accord it is not a requirement when checking out.  At this time and after all the disruption in our place of business we do not feel that we owe these ladies anything as re tried on numerous attempts to reconcile the issue and were denied compliance on their end. Sincerely,  Derma Technique Day Spa Management Revdex.com case# [redacted]

Good afternoon- In response to your questions, please find my answers below and supporting documents attached.  Who paid for the services?  Please provide your receipt, invoice or credit card receipt for the services. I, Jaclyn "[redacted], paid $190 on my [redacted] credit card for the services, plus $40 in cash for tipping. Please find attached the statement from my [redacted] credit card in the amount of $190 and the hard copy receipt I received from the spa. I have also attached photos of my mother's face to show the damage to her skin, as a result of the facial, in addition to the doctor's notes I submitted before in an email to the Revdex.com. I believe the photos speak for themselves. I greatly appreciate all of the support from the Revdex.com in this matter. If I can provide you with any additional documentation, answers to questions, etc., please let me know. Many thanks and please advise of next steps and outcome. -[redacted]
