oil leaks and that she was going to take care of it later*** called us on June 20, and told *** that her car was smoking and didn't have a lot of powerOn June 21, *** brought her car into us and said she had no power and it was smoking real badlyOn June 21, we started working on *** Mazda and we could barely drive *** car up on the rack because it had no power I don't even know how she made it to our shop because she lives about mile away from us_ The mechanic checked the car and found that the turbo was full of oil and was making a lot of noise that was the first thing we need to replace because the car had no power and was smokingAfter we replaced the turbo is when we started to run into problemsFirst was we still had no power but did get rid of the smoking problemThe mechanic started doing more diagnostic and found that the Catalytic convertor failed a back pressure test so we replaced that next and still had other problemsNext the mechanic pulled the valve cover and timing chain cover and found that the vehicle timing chain had jumped timing and had a lot of slack in itAt this time *** was getting upset about all these repairs and called another shop to come and take a look at the vehicle and make sure we were not ripping her of* *** who owns *** *** came by and talked to the mechanic working on the car and asked what all we had done to the vehicle*** agreed with everything we had done and called *** and told her everything we had done and that we were on the right pathSo after we did the timing chain repair we got the car running better but know we had a fuel problem the fuel pressure would only get up to 60psi and should be at to 1300psiThe mechanic started doing more research on the fuel problem and said that it could be the high pressure fuel pump and to replace the fuel pressure valve that it was a common Issue with the Mazda CXWe replaced the fuel pump and pressure valve but know have a misfire problem so we did the spark plugs and mass air sensor but still had a misfire problemWe called another shop to get help on this issue and he said that it's the fuel injector causing the problem that he had one do the same thing to himWe also fixed the oil leaks which were coming from the valve cover gasket and the positive crankcase ventilation valve hose and they had been leaking for a long timeSo after we did ail those repairs we got the car running good againAfter we did all those repairs we drove for two days and had no problems*** did not pick the car up till a week later after we were done with the vehicleI did feel bad for all the time it took us to work on this vehicle so I did give her credit on her bill ! did not charge her any labor and sold the parts to her at costI also paid for a week of rental car and she picked the car up on July 23, On July 28, *** called *** at 9:10am and told him the car was not running good and was smoking and she was driving it from San Antonio back to us in AustinAt 9:24am *** called *** and told him the vehicle had died and would not start *** told her that we have a Nationwide Warranty and that they would tow the vehicle and that he would call them*** called the Warranty company and they said they would tow it to another shop but if she wanted it towed to us the would charge her a fee after miles and that they wanted a credit card number to have it towed to usKenny called *** back and told her that she would have to call them and give them a credit card number if she wanted it towed back to Austin_ *** also called *** *** and talked to *** about what was going on *** told *** do not drive it and have it towed to the nearest shop*** said he would verify this if I need him toAt I emailed *** the Nation Wide Warranty information and then called herI called *** at 11:24am and she told me that she was driving vehicle back to Austin from San Antonio, I told her not to drive the vehicle back that she needed to have It towed to the nearest shop that honors our Nation Wide warranty she said no I'm driving it backI tried to talk calm to *** but she started getting loud and threatening me that she was going to take it to the next level and that I wouldn't help herFor the third time I tried to talk and tell her to call the number on the warranty info she said she broke down and it wouldn't startI told her again please call the warranty number that I had emailed her and she started being loud and I told her that I could not help her anymore*** had the vehicle towed from San Antonio to us she did not call the warranty companyWhen *** and the vehicle got towed to us she told *** that she had driven it to the dealer after she had talked to me when it died*** said the dealer looked at it and said that it was timing problem and had no compressionThe dealer never tore it down and looked at it they just gave her there opinionFirst thing we did was see what the check engine code was and found that the code was pwhich is Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit MalfunctionThen we pulled the valve cover off and checked the timing and found that the timing was goodNext we did a compression test on all four cylinders and had no compressionThe mechanic pulled the spark plugs and found coolant on them which means most likely a blown head gasketSo the mechanic did an air check through the cylinders and that's when we found that the vehicle had a blown head gasketSince *** had checked the vehicle when we did the first repairs we had him come by and verify that the car had a blown head gasket*** said that it does have a blown head gasket and that the timing was still goodSo that's where we stand on this vehicle I do not think that we are responsible for *** actionDavis Tire & Automotive and *** *** told *** not to drive the vehicle and she refused to listen to both of usI did some research on this vehicle and found that this vehicle does have a lot of problemsThere is a class action law suit against Maida because of all the problems they are having with this enginealso Included the invoice to show you the discounts I gave her on the first repairs.Davis Tire & Automotive***Thanks *** ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:There are so many statements in this responseThe car WAS NOT smoking when it was brought into Davis TireThe car was never smoking or had it broke down until Davis Tire "worked on it." The warranty that was given to me as I was broke down along the side of I-in San Antonio did not pay for a towThey simply arrange for a tow to the nearest shopI had already paid Davis Tire $in so-called repairs after originally receiving a $quoteAfter they did the work on the turbo, they called and said my car was breaking down (which it NEVER had done before this point.) I picked up the car days after Davis Tire called and said I could pick it upTheir supposed repair job that was originally estimated at days ended up having them in possession of my car for days. We can argue about the details all day but the bottom line is that I brought my car in there DRIVINGI paid the shop for a supposed $in repairsThen within a week my engine goes outI have or estimates from the shop over this period of daysThis is obviously a sign that the mechanics are not qualified to do the work they did on my car and now I'm out of not only a car, but all the expenses I accrued because of taking my car to Davis TireThis is not how a business should be ranHe says I shouldn't have drove it, but it just had $in repairs done from his shop so it could be driven! I could not leave my car in San Antonio and had to pay $to tow it back to Austin because Davis Tire would assume no responsibility for the faulty work they had done on my car. This is unprofessional and not acceptableI hope the Revdex.com will help to protect consumers such as myself from situations like this because in no way is this what's supposed to happen when you take your car in for repairsNow I'm out thousands of dollars and a car and this establishment is accepting no responsibility and now he's also lyingThe biggest one is that the car was smoking when it was brought inThe car was not in that bad of shape when it was brought in, but it deteriorated over the course of the time it was in Davis Tire's possessionIt drove to Houston and back before I brought it to Davis Tire, and not once did it ever smokeThe lies only make me more upset about this business and it's unprofessionalism.
Regards,
*** ***
