Response:

After initial inspection it was determined the PCM (Power Control Module) was bad and needed to be replaced. This was under warranty still (8 years or 80k miles from the original in service date) and did not cost the customer anything. After the PCM was replaced there was still a problem with the Oxygen sensors, The customer did not want to pay for further inspection (the warranty on the oxygen sensors is expired as it is only 3 years or 36k miles from the original in service date). Customer and I have met and discussed the situation. Mr. [redacted] has brought his vehicle back in to have repairs completed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Also thy Resolved the Issues

Recently purchased a new Ram 2500 from Magnussen's and it was by far the best vehicle purchasing experience I've ever had. I am happy that this was my first and only stop for my purchase. Doing all of my research on the vehicle and price I wanted before hand helped. A very smooth and no hassle buying experience. I highly recommend choosing Magnussen's Auburn Dodge when making your next purchase. I know I did not regret it.

Review: was misled on buying a service that was not transferable. Will not communicate. Promised return phone calls and would not answer letters.

We purchased a new 2011 Jeep Cherokee on July 4th, 2011 from Magnussen's Dodge Chrysler jeep @ 1901 Grass Valley Highway in Auburn, California. Our plan at the time was to relocate to Michigan on our new real estate that we had purchased.

With the purchase of our jeep we also bought the "Chrysler Service Contract" for $2895.00 and the Magna-Shield exterior paint and chrome treatment) for $800.00.

Before going forward with these two purchases, we asked our sales representative, [redacted] if we would be able to use these when we moved, because it would not have been cost effective to make this large of a purchase if we couldn't use it in Michigan and [redacted] assured us that we would be able o use BOTH services in our new state. The Magna-Shield program was for 4 treatments and we had used two in California. Since we have moved here, we have been told by the Jeep dealer here that it cannot be honored as it is a Magnussen's-only program.

Since that time we have contacted them both by letter and phone beginning in the first week of October and at that time they assured us that they would look into it and get back to us which they have not done. In addition, we had originally asked them for a partial refund of the $400.00 as the program was misrepresented to us. The company has still not gotten back to us. We explained to them that we had specifically asked if these programs were transferable as we knew we were moving. We feel that the Sales representative was not honest with us and allowed us to purchase the magna-Shield knowing that we would not be able to use it out of state; or he did not know and with that, Magnussen's should honor a partial refund of the $400.00 as we are unable to use it here. Desired Settlement: we are requesting a partial refund of the $400.00 as we are unable to use the Magna-Shield here.

[redacted] and [redacted]

Review: The Magnussen's Auburn Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler Dealership provided rather questionable and quite illegitimate service. I took my vehicle in for a diagnostic service and told them what I believed was the issue. I believed I needed a new alternator and they adamantly insisted that my alternator was fine. I was talked into further inspections as they could not find the issue but assured me that it was something serious. I was never given an estimate nor was I updated with the service progress. However, I was briefly told that I may have had electrical damage possibly caused by a recent heavy rain storm. When I filed a claim with my insurance company and informed the dealership that an insurance agent would be over to access the damage the dealership NOW told me that wasn't the issue and NOT to involve my insurance company. After that I heard absolutely nothing from Magnussen's about the state of my vehicle. I had to call them daily for 5 days straight until they finally just said that they couldn't find the problem and to come pick up my vehicle. I was shocked to discover that they were charging me $435 for a rather questionable diagnostic service in which they came up with no diagnostic report and no solution. I took my vehicle to a [redacted] and had the alternator tested for free and it tested bad, so a new alternator was put in and the problem was fixed. I have long wondered what really happened with my vehicle during those 5 days at the Magnussen's service department. After hearing many similar stories from others who have gone to Magnussen's service department, I felt like I should share my experience as well as officially make a complaint. I would not wish that anyone go through a similar experience at this business. Perhaps this complaint will help prevent similar issues from occurring again at Magnussen's Auburn Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler Dealership. Thank You, [redacted]Desired Settlement: A refund is not of priority but if deemed viable I would like to request one. My vehicle was misdiagnosed and further more dismissed in a rather questionable and shady fashion. I was charged $435.00 for a very good learning experience.

Review: First I, along with the co-owner and only driver, purchases a extended life time Vehicle Protection repair warranty on a new 2014 Dodge Ram Crew cab truck for $3000 on my credit card. When I received the warranty booklet from [redacted], I found my co owner and only driver was excluded from the warranty. Further the dealer used a fictitious address to misdirect the warranty information. I called last week and talked to a sales manager who was suppose to take care of the problem. Apparently, nothing was done and today I received license plates that were mailed to the same wrong address. Further, I paid cash and the title document (pink slip) is missing.I can't use the plates because the DMV information is wrong and it is illegal to use them. I called the dealer today and only was able to talk to the phone receptionist, because they do not have any customer service or general manager available. After talking to the receptionist, I do not expect anyone to return my call to help me. PS The correct address for the vehicle information is [redacted].Desired Settlement: Fair and Honest treatment

Response:

My General Sales Manager, [redacted], and Business Manager, [redacted], spoke with [redacted] this morning. His service contract had already been corrected to show both himself and the co buyer. New plan provisions are being mailed to him. We have corrected his address in our system and with Chrysler. We told [redacted] that we would process a duplicate title for him so that he will have a title and regisitration that show the correct address, however, per DMV regulations we have to wait 30 days from title issuance to obtain a duplicate. My Business Manager will stay on top of this time frame and get a corrected title issued. We assured [redacted] that it is ok to put his plates on his truck. We apologized for our clerical errors regarding his address and the service contract entry. [redacted] understood the time frame and just wants to get it corrected.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] vehicle protection plan still fails to list [redacted] as a co owner, only shows her as a "secondary" owner according to [redacted]'s terminology, and [redacted] name does NOT show up when accessing the online policy information by VIN or contract number and her last name. [redacted] claims the information is in their dealers computer, what ever that is suppose to mean. I plan to sign the truck over to [redacted] as primary owner and doubt that [redacted] would honor the warranty since they call her a secondary owner.

Also, Address correction to DMV has yet to be accomplished.

Business

Response:

Company states we have switched the service contract. The factor does not know how to switch the primary owner and secondary owner for reporting purposes. I have not received back the application for registration. We will just take care of that for them. The title of registration will show her as the original owner. It will only take a week once we get that back to get that resolved. We are taking care of the registration that they wanted. If he has any issues we can even send a runner down to assist. Anything we can help to resolve this as soon as we can we will do.
