Magzter's Gold subscription service claims the following: Unlimited access to premium articles and over 107,000 issues of 3,750+ best-selling digital magazines. Available magazines are listed here: [redacted].  However, after subscribing, most popular magazines...

listed have to be subscribed to individually, for more money. How is this "unlimited"? I filed a [redacted] claim that was denied for the following reason: After careful consideration, we're unable to decide this claim in your favor at this time. The listing accurately described the item you received. I disagree, and the company should be forced to reimburse buyers who are NOT receiving what they were expecting.

I am having this exact same problem. Can you please provide me with the contact information to get this resolved? I called the phone number on my credit card statement for Magzter and the number is bogus, the voicemail box is too full to receive a message. Thank you.

Hi, I am writing to you from Magzter - Digital Newsstand Store. This is in regards to a Revdex.com complaint ID that I have with me here, which belongs to a customer who bought a digital subscription on Magzter and later requested for cancellation. The complaint ID is [redacted] and it belongs to...

[redacted]. We have already issued a refund for [redacted]'s subscription on Magzter. The amount was credited back to his account on [redacted] May, 2015. We have also sent a confirmation email to him regarding this, but there has been no reply so far. When he registered on Magzter, there was a typo in his email address. After he requested for cancellation to our help desk - [redacted] it took us a little while to locate his account on Magzter (since it was registered incorrectly). It seems to us that this is why a complaint was logged against Magzter in the Revdex.com. If someone can help resolve this request, it'd be very helpful! Thank you in advance! -- [redacted]

consumers. The Complainant subscribed to two such publications from the Magzter Newsstand and both subscriptions included automatic renewals. Unfortunately both of these magazines ceased publishing on the Magzter platform, yet a bug in our system caused the Complainant's account to be charged for subscription renewals following their expiration dates. Upon receiving an email from the Complainant alerting us to his situation, Magzter issued store credit to him in the required amount. However the Complainant encountered an issue redeeming the store credit, and to make matters worse his subsequent emails to us began being routinely intercepted by our spam filter for reasons unknown, so we were unaware of this issue and appeared unresponsive to the customer. A full refund in the amount of $119.98 has now been issued to the Complainant with our sincere apologies for his inconvenience, and he has emailed us expressing his satisfaction and that he will in fact remain a Magzter customer. Additionally we have made changes to our system to insure that a charge for a discontinued magazine will never again be made, and we have also modified our spam filter so as not to intercept emails from our valued customers. Given the communication problems we encountered we are grateful the customer brought this matter to the attention of the Revdex.com, allowing us to resolve the situation in a satisfactory way for all concerned. Review: I could not get any help from magzter customer service at all. I signed up for magzter with the wrong email address. They would not change it to the right email address so I could access my account properly. Yes I have already contracted magzter about this problem but they told me they could not find my account. I signed up the other day because it's on my credit card statement.Desired Settlement: I would like for magzter to cancel my free trial account. I signed up with the correct information like my name but not the correct email address. They can find my account with [redacted]. . I do not even remember the email I signed up with because it was typed incorrectly and I want them to cancel my free trial account.

Review: Dear Sir or Madam,

Magzter have withdrawn a total of GBP 119.98 from my ** Bank Account for subscriptions to magazines which I am no longer subscribed to and despite my requests and follow-ups for this amount to be either properly credited to me to purchase other magazines or to be refunded to my Bank Account, they are refusing to respond and resolve this matter.

In this respect and for your reference, below are all the e-mails that I have sent and from which you will note that the last few have been addressed to Magzter's top people.

Therefore, any assistance that you can provide to resolve this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks & kind regards,

Alan Phelps

Review: I am a online publisher. I owed ouch magazine and well as 2 new titles I just launched. I have uploaded my issues for sale on the Magzter website. I was told that they were still working on my issue but they listed one of my title for sale on the website. I login in and saw none of my magazine in the publisher login and I was blocked out from see if they had sold any of my magazines. The website states the publisher receive 50% of all sale and are able to see all sales and traffic. I believe this is a SCAM. They stole my magazine intent to sale them without paying me. They don't have a phone number only emails. They take a very long time to respond . Also I had given them my private business routing number and account info online to receive payments. This was also deleted when I sent to see if my magazine had launched and were making money.I want them to opt me out completely and remove my company issue form the website and backlinks.Desired Settlement: I want them to opt me out completely and remove my company issue form the website and backlinks.I forbid them form sales of ouch magazine , ouch magazine latina, ouch magazine black on the websites or anything promoting that I am invalid . I want them to remove my bank and address form there data base. Because I believe THEY ARE RUNNING SCAMS ON NEW PUBLISHERS.

Sincerely,

Review: I found Magzter by means of their promotion-- they were giving away a trip in a sweepstakes. In order to enter the sweepstakes, you had to render your credit card info and agree to a "free trial" period which was supposedly no-risk or obligation. I trusted that by publishing it as no-risk and no-obligation that the agreement we were making was for a one-month free trial. I accepted and tried the service for one day-- I did not like the interface or find it useful, I did not use it or think of it again. Imagine my surprise when I saw they took it upon themselves to register me for the GOLD membership and charge my credit card beyond our free trial agreement. And on top of it there is NO button or place on their website to cancel-- you must write a personal email and beg them to stop charging you-- and you are at their mercy whether they will or will not. I find it very telling-- that they don't offer a simple way to cancel online. I saw the charge come up on my credit card and contacted them within 3 days of the charge-- and they refused to refund me despite my never agreeing to any kind of monthly contract. Perhaps in their other promotions they make it clear that their free trial allows them to charge you without asking beyond that-- but for the sweepstakes promo it did not-- or I would not have done it. It said "[redacted]"Desired Settlement: Refund. I didn't use nor agree to the service-- no email or notice was sent that they were shifting our agreement from free trial to paid monthly charge without my permission. They don't get to do what they want with my credit card, just because I entered their promotion or agreed to a no risk free trial in which my credit card would not be charged (their words.) And then they charged it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.[redacted] Thank you for reviewing my complaint—in a strange coincidence—after emailing my complaint to you—I received in the same hour an email (5th in back-forth sequence) from the company I was complaining about saying they would do a one-time refund, after refusing previous. So in essence, the complaint can be closed as I got what I think is fair—but still a dodgy company re: charging without permission. Thank you, Janice H[redacted]
