Mahi Water Systems Inc

Review: On July 12th, 2014, We purchased a home softener water system from Mahi Water systems Inc. Later that night we read some bad reviews about the company and the seller/owner [redacted] and his previous business Maui water systems; we mailed in the contract cancellation form immediately on Monday July 14,2014(first business day). In our contract it clearly stated that we have the right to cancel without penalty within 3 business days for a full refund within 10 business days. On July 15,2014(second business day) We signed an additional cancellation form received from [redacted] installation technician). Both contract cancellation forms stated that a refund check would be provided within 10 business days. USPS returned to us the cancellation contract because it was unable to be delivered. We tried to contact [redacted] several times; we left voice mails on his cell and office number. We never received a call back. We also noticed the official business website was removed from the internet. After the tenth business day we went to the police department; [redacted] finally gave us a call back. However he still refuses to give us a refund. The system was delivered on July 12th, 2014; however it was never installed. We returned it in its original condition; new/never opened box. The water system was a total of $4000; we gave him $2000. We demand a refund because we followed every cancellation step as stated in his contract. [redacted] is not only a dishonest person who doesn't follow his own policies, but he is also an untrustworthy businessman.Desired Settlement: We want a full refund as stated in both Contract cancellation forms. We do not want any business or discount offers from [redacted]. we have enough evidence to proof [redacted] is not honoring his company's cancellation policies.
