[redacted] called to say her complaint was resolved today.

The facts are as follows, [redacted] bought his 2010 Dodge Journey Vin#[redacted] with 58827 miles on may 19th 2016, on 7/13/2016  [redacted] brings in the vehicle with 61,215 miles and Mahoney's Auto Mall pays $1283.48 worth of work, then on 7/20/2016 [redacted] brings his vehicle back in and...

Mahoney's put another $819.96 into the vehicle to fix a caliper brake issue. Then 5 months later on 12/16/2016 [redacted] brings in his vehicle and complains about a flashing light on rear view mirror, which was a normal light, we replaced his key fob battery free of charge and paid for a new battery as his car battery was no good, Mahoney's put a battery in his 2010 Journey in good faith to help [redacted] out as he complained he had no money to fix the battery. Mahoney's also put $15 in fuel in his vehicle as [redacted] left it empty for us to work on it properly. Mahoney's put $820.68 into fixing [redacted]'s issues months later. On 11/3/2016 Mahoney's completed a free oil change for [redacted] and replaced his oil dip stick and tube, we also cleaned out his sunroof tubes as he complained of possible leakage free of charge. The issue that [redacted] is complaining about is a manufacture warranty issue. Mahoney's has done everything to solve [redacted]'s problem, and he has never been satisfied from day one. It has been 10 months and [redacted] expects Mahoney's to pay for an issue that is "out" of NYS lemon law warranty and our full obligations have been completed. At this point [redacted] needs to take ownership of his vehicle and take it to a Dodge dealer and address his issues as Mahoney's did everything for [redacted] and he is never  satisfied. Please see attached documents to show the work and money that Mahoney's Auto Mall did for [redacted]. Thank you

When we looked the truck over we found that it needed a speed sensor not a wheel bearing.   unfortunately truck speed sensors are built into the wheel bearing.  we could not find exact match wheel bearing for the truck that day. the customer told us there was a large snow storm...

coming and they where afraid that they would not be able to plow the snow. so we bought a wheel bearing and transferred the speed sensor to the existing wheel bearing to get the so they could [low.  and ordered a replacement bearing if the switch did not hold.  the correct action would have been to tell the Snyders that the correct wheel bearing had to be ordered but we tried to satisfy them one that day and it did not work out. In the future we will advise the customer to wait even if they I do not want to wait. sometime we have to say NO   CON MAHONEY

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I read the response from the business. The oil dipstick was replaced because their mechanics broke it off. The caliper was replaced because their mechanics created the issue. The issue with the emissions light was addressed by their mechanics twice before. This will be the 3rd time for the same problem. I never once told them that I didn't have money for the battery. Every time I brought the vehicle in for service another problem arose. If need be I can send you copies of emails that were sent to their company months ago. As they assured me that they would resolve the issues when I spoke with them.  Regards, [redacted]

On 12/7/2016 Mahoney's Auto Mall Contacted [redacted] and we offered to install the parts to fix his issue however [redacted] said he did not have the parts at this time, so we let [redacted] know that once he has the parts needed to fix the issues with his truck we would be more than welcome to install the...

parts at no cost to him.

Regards, [redacted]  they keep changing their story. they tried the wheel sensor and it did not fix it.also they told me it was the wheel bearing. my abs light is still on!!! because they cut the wires to the bearing and the light will not go out. also have howling in the rearend of vehicle that was told to them from day one!!!!! mister mahoney seems to have his customers chase their tail while they let the warranty run out that they promised to give you. I had called parkway dodge in canton ny and they told me that the truck has to be brought in because they can not get the wiring for the abs anymore and to bring in our truck so they can cross match it. but dave from mahoneys never called me back to bring it in. now hes on vacation and my warranty ran out today!!!!! and no one seems to know whats going on. how convenient.
