Maid Cleaning Service, Inc. Reviews (2)

Review: On March 13th 2014, while the maid from Maid Cleaning Service was cleaning my three level single family house, she spilled a bottle of bleach on the carpet in my master bedroom, right outside the master bath door. When I reported the accident (via phone and email with pictures) to [redacted] the Manager she stated they would get a carpet cleaner out to fix it. I let them know again it was bleached and that a carpet cleaner would not be able to fix it, that the carpet would need to be repaired or replaced. When I asked for the name of the company of who they would be sending out - I was told my [redacted] not to worry about it that this guy works for them all the time and they have promised to fix it. On 27 March 2014, the carpet repair company was supposed to come out and fix my carpet; however no one showed. When I called Maid Cleaning Service, I was told they were having computer issues and therefore the appointment was never scheduled with the carpet repair company. Maid Cleaning Service rescheduled the appointment with the Carpet Repair place for Thursday, 3 April 2014. A gentleman from [redacted] Services came to my house on 3 April 2014 expecting to "clean" my carpet due to the incident from Maid Cleaning Service. When I told the gentleman they spilled bleach he gave me a quizzcal look and said they never said anything about bleach. When I took the gentleman to my master bedroom he said there was no way he could clean this and would have to come back another day to fix it; cutting a whole in the carpet where the stain is and replacing it with a new piece. The gentleman asked me if I had spare carpet; which I told him I did not. He said he did not believe he had any carpet similar in color or texture so he would need to see what he could find to match. I gave him the carpet color name but had no additional information. The gentlemen told me he would be back on Monday, 7 April at 10:00AM to repair the carpet. After the gentleman left I looked at his brochure and website in further detail and no where do either of them call out carpet repair as a service offered. [redacted] is a house cleaning, carpet cleaning and duct cleaning company. I called [redacted] Services and asked if 1) they were licenses and bonded; which they answered exactly. When I asked if that meant yes or no, they said exactly. 2) if they were license, bonded and a certified carpet repair company; again they answered exactly. So, I called my homeowners insurance to explain the situation and asked for guidance on how to proceed. My insurance company stated that I needed to call Maid Cleaning Service and request the Insurance Company Name, Claim Number and Insurance Adjustor's name to ensure 1) they filed a claim; 2) that the company they were sending out to fix my house was certified to repair carpet and was license and bonded for this service. My homeowners stated that if [redacted] Services does not repair the carpet to my satisifaction and the Maid Cleaning Service has not filed a claim with their insurance then they could not be liable for the repair job gone bad. So, I called Maid Cleaning Service and requested the Insurance Company name, claim number and insurance adjustor's name. I was told by [redacted] that I would need to speak with the owner of the company and that I should just go with the guy they sent me he fixs stuff all the time. I told her I wanted to get the insurance information before I agree to allowing [redacted] Services to fix it so we can ensure all bases are covered. She stated the owner would call me back on Friday, 4 April. I called Maid Services on Friday 4 April and left another message for [redacted] and/or the owner to call me, but received no call back. The gentlemen from [redacted] Services did not show up on Monday, 7 April. I called Maid Services and spoke with [redacted] again regarding the situation. She stated that she spoke to the owner and that they were not replacing my carpet but would only fix it through [redacted] Services. I kindly asked her to have the manager call me back that I am not asking it be replaced but asking for it to be repaired by a certified repair company that their insurance approves of. I requested the insurance information again and was told she can not give it to me and that if I wanted to speak to the owner I needed to call back tomorrow. I requested that the owner call me back, since I have left multiple voicemails over the course of a month, no later than close of business tomorrow, 8 April to discuss a resolution and the insurance claim.Desired Settlement: Requesting Maid Cleaning Service provide me with the Insurance Company Name, Claim Number and Insurance Adjustor's name so we can ensure the repair is certified and insured.

Review: On April 11, 2013 the maid who cleaned ([redacted]) sprayed inappropriate chemicals all over my master bathroom marble which caused staining and damaged to the majority of the marble. The supervisor ([redacted]) came the following day and noted the damage. The maids always deny the damage because the management threatens them that they will have to pay personally for the damage and that the company will not exercise their insurance coverage. The company's manager and owners have not returned phone calls regarding the issue. The one message I received said "the maid denies the damage". Of course she does! She's scared to death and she doesn't have the money. The owner can battle that out with the employee on their own time. I need to file a claim with their insurance company and the secretary who answers says she does not know who that is and does not have anyone call me back. I check the work of the maids every cleaning day and I know exactly that it was done on April 11, 2013. This company has been my ONLY cleaning company for 15 years and this is how they are treating me!

P.S. Marble experts have told me that when you spray marble with an inappropriate chemical the damage may not appear for 30-60 minutes, so it is possible that the maid really didn't see the outcome of what she did. But when I came home from work, I most certainly saw the damage and immediately reported it early the next morning.Desired Settlement: There is a special treatment that marble repair services offer that can sand off all of these stains and repolish the marble. However, my marble will never be the same! This is the least they can do!
