MaidPro of South Orange County Reviews (2)

Review: cleaning team spilled chemicals on our hardwood floor in hallway , causing damage and the owner of the Maidpro Orange County franchise whose name is [redacted] refuses to fix the damaged floor. The office asked us to get an estimate to have fixed, we had Richard Marshall Flooring submit the estimate, but MaidPro owner [redacted] refuses to fix the damage done by his cleaning team. He was extremely rude on the phone accusing us of damaging our own floors , and stated that his team never uses chemicals . The cleaning team insisted on using bleach , and owner denies this stating that their company never uses bleach. [redacted] also said on the phone that if any damage is done to a home , that Maidpro is not responsible for the damage!! Most t companies are licensed and fully bonded in the event of accidents or damage so this statement from [redacted] sounds wrong. He refused to pay for the floor repair and has ceased all calls and emails , no customer service skills , very poor service and management. I contacted the Maidpro office in Boston to see if they would assist , and they tried contacting [redacted] to ask him to work this out, but no replies. He just does not care. We just want the damage to our floor fixed by Maidpro. If they dont want to pay for the repairs, then we would like a full refund for the last 3 home cleaning fees as compensation.Desired Settlement: We would like our hardwood floor fixed, we are seeking compensation from Maidpro Orange County , owner is [redacted], We submitted the requested floor repair estimate in a timely manner to Maidpro Orange County , but it was denied by the owner. This is completely unacceptable from a large company , Maidpro needs to take ownership of their mistake and fix this problem. Their cleaning crew destroyed our floor , they are responsible for the repairs.

Review: I contacted MaidPro using their website for a promotion whereby for $25 off the first, third and fifth services. In scheduling the first service, which would be more expensive than the regular weekly service because it would be more thorough, I was asked what form of payment I would use, and I said I would pay by check. But I was asked for and gave a credit card in order to hold the reservation for the first service. The company advertises a 49-point checklist, but on the first cleaning they failed to do many of the basic services promised on the checklist, but checked them off the list anyway. Items checked by not completed included: dust picture frames, wipe down kitchen cabinets and appliances, clean bathroom fixtures and chrome, clean second bathroom tub and glass, clean any bathroom floors, mop under door mat in entryway, clean floors in the dining room, wipe down wooden surfaces and clean all baseboards. When they were done, we paid them by check and they left. After cancelling future services, I received a call from the owner, who asked what happened and for another shot at cleaning for us. I explained the many things that were left undone and that I preferred trying a different company. He thanked me, and said nothing whatsoever about any penalty for cancelling services.Several days later, MaidPro charged my card $25.00. They never contacted me to inform me of or obtain my authorization for the charge, nor did I receive a [redacted] for it. When I called, I was told it was their policy to charge promotional discounts back to the customer when they did not have a recurring service. I told her this was not stated anywhere on their website, was not in any of the documents I received, never told to me, and that I was specifically told that I could cancel at any time with 2 days notice before the next service without penalty. However, MaidPro, without citing any written policy or justification, refused to refund the charge.Desired Settlement: I would like the unauthorized $25 charge refunded to me.
