Maids Around Town

I used this service in Houston and one of their employees stole all my silver coinsNo assistance from their management Beware!!!!!!

I have been researching maid services for a few weeks and stumbled upon this companyI called to schedule a cleaning in preparation for my family coming into town the following weekI was told they could get me in the next day, a Saturday, and that the cleaner would arrive around noonI received a confirmation email with the correct date and time as well as a confirmation text within a few hours of schedulingI cancelled plans I had for Saturday and put off other tasks to be available and make the house ready and accessible for the cleanerI tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but by 3:00pm on Saturday I realized they were not showing upI texted their text customer service line and was told that I was not in the systemThey have my credit card information and I have a confirmation email and text from themI don't understand how any entity can do business like thisI wasted half a day and in the end probably could have just cleaned the house myselfWhat a joke

I was very careful with the timing and day of the maid appointment because of family visiting. The maid was supposed to show up at noon. By 12:30 nothing so I called the Maids Around Town office and no answer. Finally by 13:15 someone picked up the phone. They didn't know the maid hadn't showed up (how's that for employee's responsibility if unable to fulfill her job?) and all they could do was to offer to clean the following day. I had guests coming in that very evening, hence hiring a cleaning company for a thorough cleaning before the visit, so I requested a replacement. None available (?!). I had to drop off all the things I had to do that afternoon and do the cleaning myself, because I trusted Maids Around Town to be a reliable company. A HORRIBLE experience. I will NEVER use them again, NEVER recommend them.
