We are going to issue free monitoring service to *** *** for his agrrivation and frustration on his service experience with usI have left him the option to contact me directly via messages to discuss and handle any concerns he has with his system. Review: We've attempted to resolve our property damage claims for items shipped with UPS Store [redacted]. and [redacted], NYC, owner [redacted] ###-###-####, manager [redacted] ###-###-#### & UPS Headquarters ###-###-#### since 6/**/2013. 4 boxes with 5 damaged items. We paid $600 insurance per box. 4 boxes x $600 =$2,400.We spoke by phone with [redacted] & [redacted] UPS & told him we were shipping 8 boxes with fragile items. Each box needed to be insured. We didn't trust the UPS to wrap very fragile items & [redacted] said agreed that "they'd break them." Told [redacted] an experienced art dealer consulted us how to wrap. Several pieces of artwork per box, each individually wrapped, separated by heavy cardboard & secured by an additional interior box and layers of bubble wrap on all sides of the boxes including the bottoms and tops. Gave [redacted] our c. card & paid $1,699 to have 8 boxes arrive at our CA home on 6/** with door to door service. Guaranteed our boxes would be picked up by truck. UPS man arrived with handtruck - not truck- heaved boxes & carted them 7 blocks to UPS. We went to UPS to inspect them. Appeared fine on the outside. We didn't open them to inspect contents as they were well sealed. 7 of 8 boxes arrived on 6/**, other box arrived a day late & no boxes were delivered to our front door, although guaranteed & paid for. Opening the boxes, we were horrified at the damage to 5 pieces. Called [redacted]. UPS store ASAP & were told "Call the 800 # because once our boxes left their store, they're no longer their problem." Left numerous messages for [redacted] - for months- he never returned any of them. Then spoke to UPS 800 # detailing damage & providing tracking #s for boxes with damaged items. Then contacted by UPS inspector & provided photos & descriptions. Contacted UPS HQ, they instructed us to get appraisals & repair bills. $2,120 for all 5 items. Sent all to UPS HQ, said our claims were approved. 2 months later [redacted] calls 9/**, apologizes, said will honor claims & mail $2,120 check. He doesn't.Desired Settlement: UPS signed contract states we insured each box for $600 per box. 4 boxes had 5 damaged items. 4 boxes with 5 damaged items. $600 insurance per box. 4 boxes x $600 =$2,400.Appraisals from antique light dealer & art & antiquities dealer =$2,120.UPS Headquarters said our claims were approved & we are entitled to compensation. [redacted], acknowledges this, apologized for the terrible way were were treated by his employee [redacted] & for destroying our property. $2,400 or $2,120
