Review: I had purchased a chandelier from an auction house. They had recommended this shipper. He failed to secure my crystal chandelier and just shoved it in a box. The chandelier came completely broken and all the crystals broke. He told me to return the item to him and he will try to get [redacted] to pay for the damages. [redacted] had called and we emailed photos of the item to them. They stated the item was poorly packed and that he was responsible for the damages. I had called him trying to get our money back and he refused to talk to us. He has my broken chandelier and I am out of $600. Can you please look into this matter. I have photos and proof of email conversationsDesired Settlement: I would like to get the money back I paid for shipping and the chandelier.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing in regard to a complaint that was filed against my business. The ID for the complaint is [redacted]. It was filed by my customer, [redacted] on 11/1/13. My company was responsible for the pick up, packing, and shipping of an item that he won from a local auction. The complaint states that his chandelier was badly damaged when he received it. I would like to bring some clarity to his complaint because there were some details that the customer left out. Before I shipped his item I called him and gave him a shipping estimate based on removing all of the crystals from the chandelier and packing them individually, which would have been the correct way to ship them, The customer did not like the price that I gave him and opted to leave the crystals on for shipping in order to save himself money. I simply did what he asked and ultimately, what he paid for,

Another discrepancy in his complaint is that he claims that he is owed a reimbursement of $600.00. This figure does not match my records. His invoice from the auction house shows that he paid $274.50, His pick up, packing, shipping, and insurance fees totaled $89.91. Together those figures total $364.41 - not the $600.00 that he claims I owe him.

**. [redacted] s complaint to you also stales that I refused to talk with him. In actuality, I offered to refund him $150.00 but he threatened me with legal action and at that point I told him that I would be happy to talk with his attorney on his behalf.

If you need any further information from me, please feel free to call me at the number below.

Thank you,

Consumer
