I was on the phone with my mother, and I witnessed the owner yelling at her because she asked him for helpIt was extremely inappropriate On Friday, July 29, 2016, I scheduled an appointment for the salvation army to come and pick up the rest of the items from my storage unitI had given the driver my name and phone number in case there were any issuesOn this morning, he called me and told me he was ten minutes away from the unitI could not make it there in ten minutes so I called my mother to meet him thereThe driver made it there about two minutes before my mother did, which gave him the opportunity to ask the owner where the unit was (Instead of calling me)After the driver asked the owner where the storage unit was, the owner called me and proceeded to scream and yell in the phone saying,"You need to be here to tell him where to go! It is not my job to tell them where to do!" I explained to him that my mother was there with the keys and would let the driver inI was on the other line with my mother when he called so I clicked back overMy mom told me that she had spotted the Salvation Army truck and she was about to let him in (because she had the codes and the keys)The owner was still hanging around so my mom simply asked him if he knew where the unit was (once inside the facility)I was about to explain to her where it was, but she asked the owner since he decided to hang around anywayAfter she asked him he began to scream and get belligerent with herHe tells her," This is not my job to do! Your daughter should have been here to help you all! You need to call her and tell her to come! I had to stop everything I was doing to come and show you where this unit was! This is not my job!" At this point, I am on the phone fuming because I have never witnessed such disrespect from someone being asked to simply do their jobI told my mom just to let the man get all of the items, and I would handle everything else laterAt approximately 1230-pm, I went to the storage unit to turn in the keysBefore I turned them in, I went to the units to take pictures of them and to make sure that they were left decently and in orderAfter taking the pictures, I went to the front office to submit the keysThere was a very nice young lady at the front desk and she took my keys and everything was fineI then asked her if many men were working there this morning because there was a man that was extremely disrespectful to my motherThe owner then stands up and says," Oh that would be me." I told him that I did not appreciate the way that he was speaking to my mother with such disrespectHe then tried to explain himself, but I did cut him off because I was speaking and he was to wait until I was finishedI told him that helping the public at his facility was his jobHe is a public servant and he should be kind to any and everyone that is giving him businessWe are loyal customersThis was not our first time renting space from himFinally, I let him speak and he told me he was just trying to explain that this was not his jobI then told him again that this was his job, he was a public servant, and delivery is everythingI could hear the anger in his voice on that dayI told him that I did not care what was going on at home, but he should leave it at home once he was at work and dealing with other individualsI also told him I would be contacting the Revdex.com to file a complaint and his response was, " Do what you gotta do!"
