Review: My husband and son stayed in DE for a family wedding and when they came home, my husband handed me the bill. I was very upset about the bill and immediately emailed the GM of the hotel. I never received a response and so I sent a second email. Again, no reply. This is what I sent to them: My husband and son just returned from DE visiting family and my husband gave me the hotel bill. I am very upset with this bill. When I called, I spoke with a very friendly woman. I explained that my husband and son were going down for the weekend and needed a room with two beds and that we had AAA and AARP. She informed me that the lowest rate for the weekend was $89.99 per night. I said I saw that price on line and thought that the rate for AAA or AARP usually is 10% off the normal price. She stated again that the rate would be $89.99 per night. I said ok, lets book it then. Now I get the bill and it is $89.99 for the first night and $103.49 the next two nights. This is not correct and should be fixed and we should be reimbursed for this error. I was not informed of the change in rate, otherwise I would have looked somewhere else. This is an unacceptable practice. I should have been informed when booking the rooms. So that you can look at the reservation and bill, my husband's name is Allen Smith. They stayed from 4/2 until 4/5 in room 213. Thank you and expect to hear from someone shortly, [redacted]Again, I never received any reply back from them at all. I did receive a request to fill out a survey which I did. It asked if I would like to be contacted and I stated yes but was never contacted by them either. Very disappointed. This is not a good practice to increase a rate without telliing the customer first. My husband was not aware of the price because I was the one that made the reservations and spoke with the woman about the rates.Desired Settlement: I believe I am owed money back. If this is not possible then a free night stay as we do go to DE quick often and do like this hotel, the location and employees are very friendly.
