When a customer buys furniture in an antique store, they are buying used merchandise which commonly has flawsAs she says in her statement, she did not look it overNone of the flaws she complained about were
hidden or misrepresentedAt our checkout counter there is a large sign that says "All Sales Final" and our receipts say "All Sales Final"Maybe antique stores are not the place for her to shop
I don't have a college degree but I did graduate high school and I know what "all sales final" means and yes I saw all of the signs in the store and on the receiptI am not trying to get my money back and I didn't ask for itI know their merchandise is on consignment and the owner and the owner of the item want their moneyWho can blame them?
I bought the item because it was exactly what I was looking for and what I wantedI felt the price was a little high but I was willing to pay it and I didI felt the price was a little high but I was willing to pay it and I didIf the business person on the phone had mentioned the slight flaws and knew someone or had a name and phone number of someone who could restore it, I still woudl have bought itShe asked me if I wanted to bring it back to re-sell and when I said yes she suddenly didn't have room for itIn her letter to you she keeps mentioning "all sales final" that's beside the issueI'm not trying to get my money back, so she should quit pushing it.
I have since donated the item to *** *** ** *** *** - a good causeSincerely, *** ***
Review: Dresser has approximately 5-6 screws through the top and front for unknown reason. Screws left holes because they were screwed down so far into the wood.My complaint is that the seller did not make me aware of this and I did not look the item over prior to purchasing it . My fault. I called a furniture restorer and he wouldn't touch it. ( Something about the type of wood.)Soon after that I gave it to [redacted]. I called the seller and voiced my complaint. I didn't ask for my money back. I did tell her I was going to contact Revdex.com.She offered to take it back on consignment but she " doesn't have room for it". So I donated it.Desired Settlement: Notify Main Street Antiques to point out all flaws to a potential buyer(though they-the seller-won't do that). Since they(seller) won't make any money . But they shouldn't accept the item.
