My name is [redacted] ***h and I am the owner of the Main Street Carwash in Belpre OH.I received your letter concerning [redacted] version of 'the Problem'.I talked with [redacted] about his concern a couple days after he called the local [redacted] e.I explained to him at that time that I was unaware of any problem with the [redacted] website that issues the receipts.I assured him at that time that I would contact [redacted] y and get the issue resolved.I did that and discovered that the person who installed the equipment in July, 2015, had not asked [redacted] to activate my 12-month FREE receipt service That activation has taken place and to my knowledge the system is working[redacted] obviously does not use my facility on a regular basis because it took him nine months to realize that this service was not working He also was unaware that the system automatically charges his credit card $on every swipe and reconciles automatically[redacted] ***r also took it upon himself to contac [redacted] on his own and my account was discussed with him without my approval This is a matter that I intend to discuss with [redacted] y[redacted] ***r claims that this is 'advertising' and recommends that I 'take down the sign or pay the charges' As it has happened, I will do neither.I resent [redacted] 's whole approach to this issue because he is implying that I am running a 'less than honest business' He contacted a lot of people and could have easily resolved the issue by simply asking me or my attendants for a written receipt We have done this for others in the past.I have been honored as the 'Belpre Business of the Year' My Main Street location recently was named 'Best Carwash' by the [redacted] I serve on the [redacted] in Belpre and am Vice-President of th [redacted] I hope this will resolve the issue with [redacted] [redacted] ***

I am satisfied with the resolution, but have some response to some of his comments:1. I did try to contact him directly by phone, but no phone number is listed at the business. I tried to find a phone number on his website, but it had been disconnected when I called.2. When he called a couple of days later, he was very cordial on the phone and understood why I could not have spoken with him. He said that he does not list the phone number at this businesses so he does not get phone calls in the middle of the night. I only contacted the Revdex.com because no one answered at the *** and I had to leave a message. I tried to call him first to resolve the issue, but I had a disconnected phone number to try He explained that was from a previous bill pay service and the number was no longer in use.3. My wife was the one who got the car wash and told me that it did not give a receipt. She had some errands to run and I advised that she needed to go back by the car wash later, which she did, to get the website address to get the receipt.4. As for me not using the car wash very much and it took me months to notice the change, that is not true. Sometimes we use cash. It appears that *** *** is the one who did not notice the system was not working properly. I believe that is the responsibility of the business owner. If he has issued written receipts to others, did he wonder why that was necessary?5. I did not tell a lot of people. I contacted the *** *** and when I heard nothing I contacted the Revdex.com. Those are the only two contacts. This is not an indication that I do not like his business. I continue to use it. I feel it is one of the best ones around, but I was disturbed that it did not issue a receipt even after attempting online. I have used his business at least twice a month and will continue to do so. 6. There is no sign at the business indicating that a $debit will be posted initially. I understand that now, but only after reading it at the C*** **te. 7. Please note I have no complaints about the quality of the service provided or the prices. I only had a concern about not being able to get a receipt and was concerned with initial debit of $when the charge should have been $6.00. I am familiar with initial debits of, for example, $at area gas stations, but I am not familiar with a $initial debit. I tried to get information by the only methods I had at my disposal. Perhaps listing a working phone number might be helpful. For *** *** to try to blame me for not knowing his service has not been providing the receipt the signs indicated is inappropriate. I believe I am the customer and was dissatisfied with the receipt process. I take his word it has been corrected, but perhaps he had been negligent for months, not me. As for him listed as being a member of the *** *** *** *f this or that is nice, but that is inconsequential in this matter. That is not relevant to this matter. My ONLY concern was the problem with the receipt. I accept his word that has been resolved now. I did not indicate that he was not an honest businessman. My ONLY concern, one final time, was the receipt process and the receipt process only.I hope this ends this matter. I have no desire to comment further. *** ***

I personally researched our maintenance log for the month of October 2016, and we had no maintenance issues with our car wash. We washed over 200 cars that day, and no reported issues that day.
In addition, spoke with our employee and he affirmed that he did not use vulgar language towards the Customer. This employee has been working with the car wash for many years, and we never had an issue with Customer service with him. This is the first reported complaint. However, we will keep this in his file and monitor his performance. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Review: The car wash has charged me more than the advertised price. This is the third time that I have been overcharged. I use my credit card to wash my car by hand. The screen shows a different charge than processed in my credit card. I was supposed to be charged 6, 6, and 8 dollars. However, I'm charged 10 dollars each time.Desired Settlement: I just want them to correct their practices and not overcharge people. That's a discrimination against those people who use their credit card instead of cash.
