Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [redacted] ***, the radiologist who provide the service, is not part of Cigna's network thus does not have contract with Cigna According to Cigna (confirmation #***), no contractual rate applied because there is no contract In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

My apologies to hear about this complaint. We have contracts with many different insurance companies and they are all at different ratesThe rates are dictated mostly by the insurance company, we do not set themWe do have a cash paying price which is usually much lower, but that is for patients with no insuranceThe fact that we have higher rates is debate-able, but our business model is such that we have the latest and greatest equipment with sub-specialty Radiologists who are some of the best in their field. We use a 3rd party company for our billing so there are no reps on siteThere is a chance that some of the information was not correctly given to the patient.I would be more than happy to speak with the patient directly and work out a reduction based on this situationUsually all patients with issues come through me to educate and give resolution and this is the first I am hearing of thisMy understanding is the patient is on a payment plan currently, but if they would like to call me directly to discuss I can be reached at ###-###-#### Todd D [redacted] Assoc AdministratorMy apologies for the delayed response

Our facility Main St. Radiology participates as a group with Cigna Insurance. We have a contractual agreement with them. Our claims are filed under the group
name and one ETIN#. In this case Main ST....

billed Cigna accordingly and Cigna
processed the claim. Unfortunately, this complainant has a $3,000 in-network
deductible and a $3,000 out-of-network deductible. We made 3 calls to Cigna
1/**/14,1/**/14 and 2/**/14 to be sure the claims was processed correctly.
We notified the patient as well . We also confirmed that the claim was processed in network. Therefore, the patient is responsible for the balance due.
We can supply reference #'s /and/or Cigna representatives names if needed.

Review: I visited Mainstreet Radiology on 1/**/15 since I had a referral from my doctor for an MRI scan. At the time of my visit I has no longer any pain. I spoke to the [redacted] and one of the managers and I clearly indicated that I do not want to do any testing if there will be any charges to me other than my $40 co-pay. The [redacted] said that she would check with one of the managers. When she returned back she clearly indicated to me that since my insurance has provided an authorization for the service there will be NO OTHER CHARGE to me except for my $40 co-pay.

Under these conditions I agreed to stay and do the test. To my surprise I have received an invoice of over $2000 from Mainstreet radiology after my insurance paid them already over $600 for the MRI testing. According to my insurance mainstreet radiology is NOT a preferred provider and therefore they can charge as per insurance additional fees to what my insurance would reimburse them.

I have been misguided and deceived by the managers and administrative personnel of mainstreet radiology as I would have never agreed to stay and do the test with them if there would be any charges to me. My financial condition does not allow me to pay for these charges and this compromises the viability of my family. Had mainstreet radiology disclosed to me that there would be such charge for the testing I would have sought services by another Preferred facility where there would be no charge to me of I would not have done this test since I had no longer any pain.Desired Settlement: Adjust the balance on this bill as I can not and I will not pay this bill as it will endanger my family. I am further asking you to refer this issue (or I will) to the NYS health department and to the NYS Attorney General for the deceptive tactics of Mainstreet Radiology

Review: The facility is labeled as Cigna's in-network provider which is the reason we have picked it for an ultrasound procedure.

However, according to Cigna's insurance claim, the doctor, [redacted], was an out-of-network doctor that charged out-of-network fee. The claim was processed as in-network but that only meant that my in-network deductible applied. As the doctor is out-of-network, there is no discount that was applied to the procedure as the doctor did not have contract with Cigna. This has been confirmed with Cigna by Cigna's representative, [redacted]. The confirmation number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: Cigna in-network discount should be applied as in the case of in-network doctor charge would. There should be a maximum cap applied to the procedure done if doctor is in Cigna's network. Estimated discount should be around $200

Review: Never informed me about the out of pocket expense for a procedure before the work, charged to my insurance company, no fee discussion was done prior to work, proceeded without informed consent and pre-authorization. After some months sent me a bill asking for a few hundred dollars, then sent my account to collections which negatively affected my credit score, even after I sent written responses via [redacted] certified mail disputing the charges and business behavior.Desired Settlement: correct the bill, apologize, correct damage to my credit score with the negative credit impact from sending to collection Receivable Collection Services LLC

Review: Hi Revdex.com,I called Main Street Radiology on the evening of 11/*/14 to make a reservation for X-ray in the morning of 11/*/14. On the call, the girl from Flushing office quoted me $100 for two X-rays on my C-spine and T-spine. I remember clearly that I confirmed with her that was the total. After the service, I was billed $775.25 in total. They automatically took $283.57 from my HRA account already, and billed me for another $491.68. I called the billing office twice and provided them with the date and the time I called, but they refused to investigate. Please help.my account number is [redacted]Thanks,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay what I was quoted, which is $100 for the two X-rays that I received. But I am not paying the billing amount which is 8 times higher than what I was quoted. Since Main Street Radiology already took $283.57 from my HRA, I need refund and revoke the rest.
