highly qualified estimator and installer – did in fact speak English, albeit not perfectly. Our salesman had previously agreed with the customer on all aspects of the shower door enclosure and all that was left was to take final and exact measurements, as well as pick up a 50% deposit. Nonetheless, the customer only gave a $100 deposit which was not what we had agreed upon previously. Out of good faith, we still went ahead with fabricating the shower door even though the full deposit was not received. We called the client a week later explaining that the shower door enclosure was ready to be installed with the all the glass cut, polished, drilled, te mpered, and the hardware ready. We scheduled a date and time of installation. Twenty-four hours prior to installation, as company policy, we called the customer to remind him that installation would be happening on the agreed upon time and to also remind him that there was a balance to be received, at which time the customer mentioned that he intended to pay with a credit card. We do not accept credit cards as final payment and explained to him that he could pay with either cash or certified check, both of which he refused to do. When we told him that we could reschedule for a later date when he would have the funds available, he refused, telling us he would only pay with a credit card. This shower door is extremely custom made with specific measurements and custom cut angles to accommodate all the off-level sides. We have thus far spent $1100 on mobilization, fabrication, and hardware for this particular job. We are ready and willing to install the shower door. The customer did in fact speak to our manager several times regarding the issue. We will not be returning the deposit and we are likely to forward this case to collection. Thank you. P.S.
