Mainely Plumbing & Heating has been in business for close to years and we certainly strive to perform quality work at affordable prices and keep our customer’s best interests at heart. As Mr*** suggests, had we offered several types of outdoor faucets, we would have offered him the choice of what faucet to install. We ONLY use the one type that we installed at his home and as such, made the repair. In our prior response, we did acknowledge that the $included BOTH the parts and labor for the installation. The technician had approx1-1/hours on the job for the diagnosis of the problem and the installation of the faucet. The materials we use are quality products and we do stand behind our installations (as previously submitted in our earlier response) for a year on new installations and days on repairs. If Mr*** wanted to use his own supplied materials, we would have rescheduled the appointment and come back at another time to install the material he purchased, however we would not warranty that product, and if any subsequent issues were to arise from faulty materials he would be billed accordinglyIf he so chooses, we can certainly come back to take the faucet that we installed and issue a refund of $for the faucet and misc material required for the original installation and Mr*** can then proceed with the contractor of his choiceWe are certainly sorry that he was dissatisfied with our services

Please add your rejection comments below.They are correct that "[redacted]" was the one I spoke with, but don't seem to understand how business works. They mentioned that they would have quoted the price of the faucet over the phone "had I asked."  That's not the way business works.  I've been in it for years. The customer may not even know what questions to ask. If I hire a contractor to build an addition to my home, they would sit down with me as the project progressed and ask what materials I want to use when applicable. I wouldn't expect them to put a metal roof on instead of shingles without asking me and explaining cost options. Additionally, the most expensive commercial hose bibb, anti-siphon frost free faucet I was able to find was $49.79.  That's more then a %200 markup. They would have been better off saying that included parts and labor.  Additionally, I was also able to find several more then sufficient frost free faucets for around $20.00.As stated in my first comments, they are welcome to take there faucet back. At this point, I will pay for labor (excluding the faucet) and would appreciate a refund so that I can hire a company to complete the job properly and provide me with a faucet at a reasonable cost. We apologize that no one replied back to his initial call we certainly try to respond in a timely fashion, however we do have a small office staff and when the office gets busy, sometimes communications may fall through the cracks. We would like to clarify that our company name is...

Mainely Plumbing & Heating and I believe Mr. [redacted] must have spoken with [redacted], who answers our phones and coordinates the scheduling of appointments.  ** was the technician dispatched to his home and worked on several tasks, one of which was the replacement of the outside faucet.   In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint about the faucet, our standard price for the replacement of that fixture is $209.80 and does include labor and materials - this is a set price and certainly one that could have been quoted by phone if he had asked up front.  The faucet that we used is the only one we supply - it is a commercial grade hosebibb, anti-siphon frost free with a solid brass body and ceramic cartridge. We warranty our work for a period of 90 days on a repair and a full year on a new installation - this particular circumstance would be a new installation and as such we would certainly be amenable to see what is causing the leak.  We were never notified about the leak, but are more than happy to set him up with an appointment to get that addressed.  As far as the charge for the faucet, that is the standard charge, we reviewed the work order for time and materials to ensure that nothing was charged in error and have found that everything is in order. We encourage Mr. [redacted] to call the office to set up a time for us to come out and address the leak.
