The paint is chipping, cracking and smudging after only a month and a half after the job was suppose to be completed.His subcontractor painter was hired to paint the inside of my home, kitchen cabinets, and front door for a [redacted] renovation project. I want it fixed and painted correctly without them damaging anything else in my home like was done beforeBusiness Response First let me say this was a complete remodel not just paint and the customer had no problem with any other part of our work. Also, I had no knowledge of this problem until she filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. If she had called/asked me, we would had/and still will fix any painting issues as needed. Also, final payment has not been received yet. As to damaging anything else, nothing was ever damaged. Some sheet rock dust got on the floor after we repaired a plumbing leak (at no charge because the customer was out of money so I paid for it out of my pocket) and we went back and cleaned the floor up. After we cleaned the mess front dust, it looks like the new floor that it is. If the paint is chipping off it is probably because we were rushed to put a second coat on so she could move in ahead of schedule. I had a contract to complete by 7/15/14 and we finished on 6/20/14. As it stands, if the customer would like me to come back and repair/fix the paint I have no problem doing so. I stand behind all my work and to the best of my knowledge, I have never had a complaint before this one. If you would like any additional information or have any questions, feel free to contact me.Consumer Response This was not a complete remodel, the only thing he was hired to do was paint, lay carpet upstairs, install a front and side door, a garage door and laminate hardwood floors downstairs. He was not at my home when the damage was done and he arrived after the fact, so he does not know what was damage all he saw was the floors. Also, no one has rubbed against any walls or cabinets where the paint it is peeling. I did not ask him to fix the leak; he did that so he could get paid for the work on the ceiling that was listed on his paperwork. I never saw this contract date, I closed on the house April 29th and yes I pushed to move in because I was homeless with three children after giving a 30 day notice to my apartment, I had to be out May 31. He didn't know I had concerns, because he was never at the site when I was there to address them so he does not know if I had problems with his work.
