This is a cautionary tale. There is cheap, there is good, and there is fast and sadly for me, I chose cheap. In the end this will cost me way more to redo. Thirteen months of frustration for a window, baseboards and closet tracking in a bedroom that to this day is incomplete. My experience with https://maintworx.com/ was one that lacked expediency, professionalism and/or craftsmanship. If even one unsuspecting consumer takes heed, there is value in this post.
We are sorry that you are not happy with your experience with MaintenanceWorx. We strive to resolve all our issues with customers in a timely and professional manner. In your specific situation Cindy, there seems to have been a problem with communications after multiple requests to complete the job from our end. From the onset a strict "Cheap Charlie" budget was agreed upon and we worked with you to bring down costs to not exceed your spending restrictions. It was agreed upon that you would provide adequate materials, adequate time to complete the job and understanding of the results that we could provide to you. We had agreed that your home had significant areas of warping in the floors which makes less than perfect joints (as pictured) unavoidable. We had also agreed that you would finish the bare wood with your own stain in order to save money as well. Unfortunately, between our first visits and when we completed the job some of the materials were damaged by road grime and mud in your garage making it unusable. You provided us with so little time to complete the work that we were left without the option of purchasing and staining more materials, but we compromised by placing triangle pieces in your closet in the most unseen areas behind your hanging clothing.
As you would not allow us to come back and repair the work free of charge, we did not charge you for the installation of the staining of the baseboards that was completed. A more than fair compromise to offset any charges you might incur.
We value all our customers and provided the opportunity to fix our errors. We are sorry you feel this way and in the future will strive to find alternative methods to communicate with our customers to avoid this kind of situation again.
In typical fashion, this response is riddled with excuses and untruths, much like my experience has been! I'll not dignify them with a response. I will, however, continue to stand firm as an advocate for the unsuspecting consumer and caution you to STAY AWAY!
