Maison de Mi

Review: I bought a balayage highlight voucher through Lifebooker.com to Maison de MI and made an appointment to redeem the service on August [redacted], 2013. My stylist only knew a few words of English, but through the receptionist translating and looking through images on the stylist's iPad, we agreed upon a specific image depicting a shade of blonde and highlight style that would blend into my natural color.The stylist was very meticulous in his application, but upon seeing myself in the mirror after getting the color washed out, I was very distraught by the orange shade of my hair in uneven chunks and splotches all over my head. This was visible even when my hair was wet. I tried telling the stylist my concerns but he ignored me, since he couldn't understand and proceeded to dry my hair. My hair kept getting stuck in the end of the dryer. The stylist did not appear to have any prior experience using a round brush and blow dryer on a woman's hair. I stopped him and got the attention of the receptionist to try and help translate my extreme concern for the state of my hair that in no way resembled the agreed upon image. The receptionist apologized and went to speak with the manager. She reported that the owner would speak with me and redo the service if need be. After waiting for some time, I proceeded to walk over to the owner who seemed to have forgotten about me, but was stopped by the receptionist only a few feet away from him. The owner would not turn around and acknowledge me. The receptionist said he couldn't speak to me till the next day! After being treated so rudely by the owner, I decided to just get a refund instead of having the service corrected. The receptionist confirmed this with the manager and assured me she would authorize the refund to Lifebooker, all I needed to do was call Lifebooker to arrange the refund. After calling and complaining to Lifebooker, they contacted Maison de MI who denied ever authorizing the refund.Desired Settlement: I paid $89 through Lifebooker for this service and would like for them to authorize a refund as they promised they would. I had to go to another salon and pay nearly 3 times as much to get my hair fixed. The service performed on my hair was atrocious, but I'm most dissatisfied with owner blatantly refusing to address my dissatisfaction and how they went back on their word regarding refunding my money, which I consider completely unethical.
