An exploding toilet and leaking kitchen ceiling got my Tuesday off to an horrendous 6:AM start Ten minutes after I left a message on Maitz's emergency line, I had a return call and a promise of a technician Chris V [redacted] and Matt C [redacted] arrived promptly for what they believed would be a "quick fix." It wasn't They spent the entire day, into the evening, simply refusing to give up before they found and corrected the problem Over the course of the day they sought and received assistance from supervisors and co-workers to locate and diagnose the problem Throughout they remained pleasant, positive and informative -- never ceasing work or growing irritated with questions What had seemed a total disaster when I made the call to Maitz became a surmountable problem through the positive certainty and determination of Chris and Matt and was, in fact, resolved in time for a late dinner I cannot praise Maitz's responsiveness or Chris and Matt's customer service ethic too highly

Josh W***r was very courteous, friendly and thorough with the work he performedHe went over all of my options for the types of repairs that could be done to my leaking toilet and was very detailed in his explanations of the workI would definitely recommend Maitz to anyone for their plumbing and heating needs

August 20, Dear [redacted] :We are writing in response to your Revdex.com letterWe first want to apologize for inconvenience in this matterHowever, we wanted to state how we have exhausted every possible option of repairing the air flow issues in your homeWe want to inform you that the acronym SEER is similar to the acronym MPGIt actually has nothing to do with the power or tonnage of the equipmentSEER is an efficiency ratingExample a car that gets MPG’s can travel at MPH the same way a car that gets MPG, one just uses less gasTonnage is the power requirement of the equipmentThe SEER is the minimum government requirement on efficiencyOur tests show that your Ton system is more than sufficient to cool your home, if the ductwork was repairedWe hope that this has cleared some of the confusion.Thank you again for your attention in this matter and we hope this situation can be resolved amicably.Sincerely,Alexander RSales Manager Maitz Home Services

I've been a customer of Maitz for several years I've found them to be responsive, professional, and always very helpful I have them on an annual service contract and rely on them to keep our systems running efficiently I highly recommend Maitz

I had a service call today for my hot water tank to be serviced the general Matthew was nice and professional took him only five minutes figure out what was wrong for a service charge of $which I understand took about minutes or so to come back with an estimate for the job Which was $which I thought was off-the-wall but I was kind in the spot because I need it hot water for the total time one hour $with parts and labor which the part was free under warrantee I watched a gentleman basically hooking up a hose to drain the water out of the tank To put an element really only took five minutes to install took only minutes to drain the water I will never call you guys again you guys are a rip off totally that is not fair To a customer I will never do business again I expected a couple hundred dollars for his job not $thank you

We did not use the bathroom while it was not usableTuesday it was opened we were able to use it Wednesday it clogged back up I did call again and made it clear to everyone in home not to use bathroom the water was shut off for toilet my grandkids stayed over at my parents homeI went to friends home to use showerMy daughters went to friends homes for showers for bathrooms we went to different business's in town or for me I went at work when I was workingOne day the day they came to repair my year old grand daughter did use the toilet did not flush the toilet I was upset for the fact that my daughter told her to do soUsually she gets up with them takes them to one of the business's close by in the morningSo there was only one time that it was usedStating that we continued to use it is a statement on there endMy middle daughter spent most of the time at her boyfriends homeMy oldest daughter had her kids spend time at friends home or my parents home over night so they were not her most of the timeI was usually the only one here and I did not use the bathroom at allI went to friends homes for showersI could not spend nights away from my home due to my dogs being here. Yes I signed for the repair to be done had no choiceI had repeatedly asked for detailed bill due to the fact that I was not the one paying for the repair my father paid for repairI signed because my father said to get it doneI didn't agree to the price I thought it was way to high even told them soI did not pay my father didIf it was coming out of my pocket I would have kept asking for detailed billThey ruined my shop vacThe mess they made was not minor to meI never agreed to the $refundThey got paid for a job on Tuesday that did not fix the problem came back Wednesday then charged way too high on MondayThat bill on Tuesday should have gone into Mondays bill since repairs were not done correctly the first time aroundPlan and simple this is a company that will not show a detailed billing, charges way too high pricing, tells people things need to be done when they really don't need to beWill never call on them again.

I have reached an agreement with MaitzThey have removed the unit from my home due to the wrong type of AC unit installed in my home , and I received a full refundAttached is a copy of my initial 2nd opinion done by UGI

August 17, 2016To Whom It May Concern,On June 30, Maitz Home Services replaced an existing central air conditioning unit in this customer's homeThe attic unit had an existing 3/4” PVC condensate drain, buried under insulation, that was never properly glued in when the home was builtUnknown,
and unseen by my installers, this pipe became dislodged during the course of repairsConsequently a hidden leak developedThe family called to report water bubble in the ceilingI immediately went to the home and looked at the bathroom and then discovered the drain line was leakingI made a repair and a technician followed up to make a permanent repair within the hourA restoration company specializing in water damage was called and left a message for MrGreene to schedule a visitThat company claims they never received a call back.Another contractor was sent to the home to provide an estimate on the repairs, and he preferred that the drywall be replacedThe restoration company removed the drywall and insulation.This has been submitted to the insurance company, but in the interest of making things whole again we are trying to expedite the repairs this weekend Saturday, August 20, I have left messages with both Mrand MrsGreeneMrsGreene got back to me and Saturday will work for themWe will work around their schedule.George M***Installation Manager

Enclosed you will find a copy of the estimate mailed to the Tonkin's on June 30'. We did a Water Jet at this property on 6/7. After the water Jet the HO had a backup. Maitz Promptly came back to the home and opened the line and put a camera into the line. The video showed an issue with the line and...

our service technician quoted a full line replacement. That quote was to replace the entire line from inside of the house to the outside of the house. Upon hearing this, the HO had another company camera the line and that company found nothing wrong with the line. Upon hearing this information Maitz home services scheduled a manager to come out to the home and reassess the sewer line with the camera. On June 21"we went to the Tonkin's home and we discussed with them that there was a problem with their sewer line. The problem was a pitch issue right near the curb before in connects to the city sewer. This caused the multiple backups in the home. I also explained that water jet was indeed necessary and the first 30 ft. of pipe was in good condition after the water jet. We also explained that our normal process is to quote an entire line due to the age of the pipe. We then gave a lesser quote of $5998 to do just the damaged pipe Section of 15 ft. Upon leaving the home, the Tonkin's had understood thesituation and said it was resolved. An estimate was mailed to them on 6/30.Thank you,Alex R[redacted]

The 13 SEER is the minimum government requirement on efficiency. Our tests show that your 3 Ton system is more than sufficient to cool your home, if the ductwork was repaired. facilities by the homeowner.Maitz Home Service gives all our customers the price before the work starts. We get a signature approving the work and verify payment will be made when the work is complete. My customer knew the price before we started both jobs and paid for the work in full when the jobs were complete.I just received an email from the customer wanting a shop vacuum replaced. I will take care of this issue with the customer. The $500.00 was agreed upon as final. That is as far as Maitz Home Service is willing to go in this matter.Thank you,Ken MService Manager
