Majestic Custom Construction

10/17/2019 - our home warranty company assigned us to contract with Majestic Companies to replace (install a new) furnace, and we also contracted with them to install a new a/c system at the same time. Both systems were installed by Majestic on 10/17/2019.
10/24/2019 - a Majestic contractor did the electrical work for the new a/c.
12/20/2019 - I contacted Majestic (Amanda) to inquire about the status of the City of St. Paul inspection for the work permits. I was told to keep waiting and I would be contacted when an inspector was assigned.
1/29/2020 - I contacted Majestic (Amanda) again to ask what was going on, why had an inspector not been assigned? Amanda said she would have their "research team" figure out what was going on and get back to me.
2/11/2020 - I have still heard nothing - I contacted Majestic again (Amanda) and was told she doesn't do permits. Ask Jill or Julie. I left them both a message and heard nothing.
2/12/2020 - I contacted the City of St. Paul permit office - 4 permits are needed for this work (2 for the furnace, 1 for the A/c, plus 1 electrical permit). Only the 2 furnace permits (Mechanical Gas and Warm Air) have been obtained, and both were submitted on 1/31/2020. Note - this is 2 days after my second call to the company, and 3 months after the actual work was done. I got a voicemail from Julie and a callback from Jill, both with nonsensical excuses about their account being "messed up" with the city. They assured me that now all 3 permits were "done" and they would email them to me. I told Jill I needed FOUR permits, and she said Julie would email them to me. I contacted the permit office again - now all of the permits had been submitted (the last two had been submitted that day, on 2/12 and everything had been approved but the Mechanical Refrig permit for the a/c).No activity had been done by Majestic on the permits until 1/31/2020 (including partial online submissions). It is 2/18/2020 - have not heard from Majestic and no permits sent.

This is for the appliance repair division of the company.

I had to use this company through my home warranty for my refrigerator repair. The technician that came out put in the wrong part and misdiagnosed the issue. When I called to let the company know, the service desk operator was rude and not interested in listening- I wasn't asking for any compensation only alerting the company to the need for more training and to help ensure that someone else didn't have to go through the same experience I did. I am out my deductible that I had to pay through the home warranty and then out another $300 to replace the part that was wrong and out $100 in labor- horrible customer service (individual who answers the phones)- the technician was polite and seemed to care, I just don't believe he is provided enough training to adequately do his job.
