I have contacted *** and discussed a new schedule to get her ceiling repair resolved. I had apologied for her inconvenience and we will be there on a determined Saturday in May

Hello, to my knowledge the ridge caps on the roof have been replaced.  The ridge vent did not need to be replaced, it was the ridge caps.  The service call was done on September 16/2015.
The consumer states that he has left messages, I did not receive any messages only that...

perhaps as we have changed our address, maybe he did not have the new telephone number [redacted]

Review: I payed them in full on their word they would come back as soon as they got there material which would of been one or two weeks. I need this done, I payed them alot of money for a job that is not comlete. Please take care of this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like the majestic company to finish their work. I payed $10,000 on material and workmanship and it is not finished. I have a 1 to 2 1/2 inch space around my siding where the men ripped my roof off. This space is only gonna cause problems. Response:

I apologize for not seeing this complaint earlier.

This consumer has failed to inform you of the facts and the accuracy of this case.

Upon removal of the roof on the consumer's home, we had found 4 layers of shingles and one layer of Cedar Shake on the decking of the roof. This is an unforeseen item in roofing and was immediately addressed to the consumer. I had driven over to the job site to explain what was found to the homeowner, and the effects that he will now see as a result of this. With five layers of roofing being removed, there is now a huge gap in height between where the siding was last laid and to where the height of the new one layer roof will be. This is not the responisbility of Majestic. It doesn't matter whatever Roofing Company were to be doing this roof, this would have happened. When I explained this to the homeowner, he seemed to have understood and then proceeded to bait me in displaying interest in replacing the siding on the entire home at that point. I had measured the house for the siding and later that day prepared a proposal for its replacement. The consumer told me that he wanted this job to be done as soon as possible, asked his wife to pick a color for the siding and I had told him I would be there several days after to complete the work. That evening the homeowner had paid me in full for the job and I left. The workers still had more clean up to do the following day, I had explained this to them and they were fine with that and understood.

That evening, the consumer had sneakily taken the heavy tools and equipment of my workers and locked them in his garage only telling them that they would be safe there. Rather, it was his malicious attempt to hold our company tools hostage till the following day and only until he demanded my workers to replace the siding taken off and to repair the gaps now made on the siding. I had no knowledge of this until my worker the next day alerted me to the consumer psychotic demeanor. To my knowledge, I thought the cleanup of the roof would be done, and we would return in three days to replace all of the siding as mutually agreed that evening. It wasn't till the next afternoon did I receive crazy voice messages from the consumer that he wasn't giving back the tools until we fixed his siding. I immediately reminded him that we agreed that he wanted to rectify this by replacing the siding, which again is his only option at this point. He blurted out that he now did not want me to repalce his siding, and also confusingly blurted out two different items: 1. that he was having other estimates done for the siding replacement that morning & 2. that he could now not afford the job to be done. At this point, I am confused and deeply annoyed at this consumer. I remebered my lengthy conversations the day before with the consumer that he claimed to be on heavy pain medication and assumed that he was not mentally sound not remembering our commitment the night before. I then also remembered his proclamation of his gambling addiction, him disappearing that evening for payment and leaving it to his wife to do and figured that he gambled away the money that night and was now looking for an excuse to stop the upcoming siding job.

I was fine with all of that. If he didn;t want to do the siding, oh well. But I will not allow him to treat me badly nor my workers especially with the ongoing saga of him stealing my workers tools and equipment. I demanded its return to them and told him that he was unrational and insane. This was all done over the phone for I did not trust in going to the house at this point for I did not know what he was capable of in his condition.

My workers completed the garbage removal, he finally agreed to return our possessions and we left the job site.

Now I am reading his false complaint that he has filed with your company. This is outrageous and absurd. There is no valid complaint here. If anything I should have filed theft and harassment charges against this consumer.

Remember, contractors are people too and they have feelings. To be subjected to this consumers demeanor was cold and callous and will not be tolerated any further.

Thank-you

Thank you Revdex.com

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

Review: 1. The time when they replace the roof. The worker didn't cover the hot tub and the shingles fall on the cover and puncher holes on it. They didn't fix the issue .

2. The attic fan is not working after Majestic replace the existing fan. The Attic get so hot. I contacted Majestic many times and no one coming to fix it according to the warranty.Desired Settlement: I like them to replace or repaire the hot tub cover and repair the attic fan.

Response:

This consumer is complaining that it is too hot in his house and refuses to turn on his air conditioning.

He is under the impression that because we did his roof that we automatically became responsible for the air quality content in his attic.

We replaced his roof several months ago and replaced the attic fan in his roof. He had contacted our office and was nothing more than rude, demanding and inappropriate to the girls in the office.

We had sent out a repair technician to see if the attic fan was working and we were unable to determine if the attic fan was not working or if there was no electrical feed coming to the attic fan. He went on to tell the repair technician that we ere going to be responsible to pay for everything and anything involved including the electrician that may be needed to determined his problem. I called him to interface this and tell him that first lets determine if the attic fan is faulty before he took any other steps. I told him that I would do this favor for him and would just go out and buy a new attic fan and replace it for him. PLEASE NOTE: It is not the responsibility of my company to do this for him nor is it a apart of his workmanship guarantee. I was merely trying to express good customer service and help expedite the process for him by bypassing the manufacturer's warranty claim needed. He agreed at this point to schedule a day for us to replace the attic fan and I told him that if there was a problem after that he would be responsible to figure out why he is not receiving electric to the fan or for any other air quality issues he may be having in his home. We replaced his roof. We did not perform an energy audit for his home.

The day before we were to come out to replace the attic fan, I came across his complaint to your firm and had called him up to let him know that I did not appreciate his slander and defermation of my company to the Revdex.com. I value highly my company's rating and I do not appreciate any individual lying or exaggerating the issue to validify a complaint. Even I was in the process of doing everything I could for him and he turned around and was again yelling, acting demanding and abusing myself on the phone. I told him that my offer of helping him was off the table until he would learn how to appropriately communicate with us and apologize.

Under the Workmanship Guarantee that he signed, it states that we are not responsible for the materials or labor of items such as Attic Fans, Ventilation Products, Caulking Sealants, Reflective Coatings, Painted Surfaces and metal products or the possible failure of these items.

Thank-you

Review: Hired Majestic Exteriors to install a new roof on my house and garage. I clearly specified prior to doing the work, that they use tarps on my cement walkways and shrubs plus my two new air condensors and upper deck.

They assured me that this would be done and it was the first thing listed in our agreement, P.S when I arrived at the work site on 4/26/13, 85% of the house and landscaping had no tarps and the deck and two new air condensors were not covered.

The property was covered with nails, old roof shingles, and tar paper marks were on my my vinyl siding, new door on my garage, and window sills had all shingle debris from them discarding old roofing materials all over my property.

There were no workers that spoke english, I called the sales person to complain and they sent down a supervisor who told me that would stay there until everything was cleaned up. On Monday 4/29/13 I drover down to Lavallette to get my warantees, and permit and to pay the balance of the bill. When I reviewed the property there was tar marks on the walkways all around the house, roof debris on window sills and deck, tar marks on side garage door and vinyl siding on the sides and back or my home. The sales person [redacted] was there with the owner of the company [redacted], who I invited into the house and the first thing he said to me was that his people did a perferct job cleaning up, I then said to him they did not and proceeded to show him pictures that I took of the condition of the property and he then called his supervisor, [redacted] yelling at him for the condition that they left my property. He was unprofessional and threatened to see me in court when all he had to do was apologize for his people not living up to our agreement, which was in writing on his letterhead. I now do not have a comfort feeling with this company that if there is a problem with my roof that he will not honor the warranty, so I will hold back a portion of the money until we get a day with sufficient rainDesired Settlement: Bring my property back to the condition it was before his unprofessional workers entered my property and an apology for all the aggravation he put me through to install a roof with his workers that have no reguard for anyones property. The Revdex.com should not give this company a good review.

Review: Majestic provided a roof repair that I paid $550 + 38.5 (tax) with one year warranty. Upon completion, the roof continues to leak, they sent the repairman back to attempt to repair. However, the roof continues to leak. They returned with further inspection of the roof and gave me another repair proposal with $4100 cost. They told me that they would take $500 off. This is a wide range of difference from the original estimate of work. This is unfair practice of providing the inferior repair later to present a much extensive scope of work.Desired Settlement: I would like Majestic to return my payment of $550 +38.0 = $588.5.

Review: Majestic installed a roof at my home in August of 2013. Upon completion I notice the ridge vent was crushed in one area. After discussions with the salesperson and the company president, I was told the ridge vent was installed improperly (installed toward the middle from both ends, instead of from one end straight through to the other end) and that the ridge vent would be replaced. A number of appointments were made for the replacement, but workers for the company never came. The most recent was June 15, 2015. The company president was notified each time. My calls and emails have not been answered since. I sought another roofing company for the replacement but was told using a different contractor could void the manufacturer's warranties since Majestic was a GAF "Master Elite" roofing contractor.Desired Settlement: I would like to have Majestic replace just the one ridge vent as they had previously agreed. I am surprised that my calls and emails have gone unanswered since June. Other than the ridge vent, they did a good job on the rest of the roof and were easy to work with.

Review: In 2013 the Owner [redacted] came to our home and prepared an estimate to replace two skylights and repair interior damage after our skylight leaked. The work was completed by his employee [redacted] and his crew in late October, 2013 and we were quite satisfied.

On January 6, 2014 I placed my first phone call to advise that there were two pretty significant bulge/cracks in the sheetrock seams installed by [redacted]. Following is a listing of the various phone calls/voicemails I have left in order to have these problems corrected.

3/22/14 – NO SHOW – [redacted] (my husband) called at 10:00 am; [redacted] called at 1:30 pm

My husband and I have been more than patient but almost three months have passed since Majestic was first made aware of these issues and their employee has not shown up to our home on three separate occasions where we have made ourselves available to have this situation rectified.Desired Settlement: My husband and I have been more than patient but almost three months have passed since Majestic was first made aware of these issues and their employee has not shown up to our home on three separate occasions where we have made ourselves available to have this situation rectified.

I hate that I have to resort to filing a complaint with the Revdex.com but I want a representative of the company to come to my home and fix the work (to my satisfaction) that was incorrectly performed by their employee. I would appreciate if they showed up when they have an appointment and ON TIME.

On a side note, I am very concerned about the 5 year parts and labor warranty that I have essentially purchased with the work I had completed. If Majestic is unable to complete corrections to sheetrocking issues, would they stand by their warranty for the Skylights they installed in the roof of my home?

I am extremely disappointed
