Review: Ordered product on October 3rd 2013, was told 4 weeks. Followed up with company, they said 6 weeks. Waited 6 weeks but manager got upset.

On october 3rd I purchased a set of matresses and a sofa set...valued at $3500. I paid with debit and visa. I was told 4 weks delivery timeframe. I followed up at 4.5 weeks and I was told that it could take 6 weeks. Went back after 6 weeks and spike with [redacted], the manager. He told me that they were misssing a section and that it should be in in a week. I followed up on December 6, a week later and this time the manager got very upset and said I was "making a big deal". That it "was a piece of furniture and not a family member". I told him he was lucky it was not a family member and how dae he say something like that...I had just lost my mother.

He basically said that since I had paid with credit and debit I could just cancel the transaction. Which I did. It should be noted that I am not surprised they are going out of business. Not once did a obtain a courtesy call to provide me with a status update on my order or to apologize for their behavior until after the order arrived-a day after the incident and after I cancelled the transaction.Desired Settlement: None. I just felt very disrespected and it seems like they dont care for the customer now that they are going out of business.

As of August 29, 2013, we started a "Going out of business" sale that was handled by an outside liquidation company.

The store owners were not involved in sales or customer service issues. Everything was handled by the liquidator.

We are truly sorry for what happened in this incident. This is not how this business has been run for the last 89 years. We would never have disrespected a customer or kept them in the dark about any issues with their order.
