I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on 9/2/16. I told her our hourly rate was $125 per hour plus material. She asked how long this would take, I told her I could not give her an exact time without having my Tech. look, but my best guess would be 2 to 3 hours. She agreed to the rate and scheduled the... appointment to have the tower installed. When my Tech. arrived on 9/15/16, he meet her husband. He discovered they had a remodel in progress which another contractor had started. My Tech told him our rate was $125 per hour and he would try and get it done in an hour but could not guarantee he could, He was told to proceed. The tower took 2 hours to install, when he finished they told him they were happy with the work. I mailed them an invoice for 2 hours at $125 per hour, which both of them had agreed to. After the invoice was past due, I received a call from Mrs [redacted] , disputing the amount. In an effort to work with them I agreed to take 10% off the bill which, if she agreed to pay it right away. on 11/11/16 I received a call from Mr [redacted] , he was very angry and threatened me with an attorney, he stated he has an attorney that is suing his previous contractor for dishonestly and he would gladly ad us to the list, if I didn't do what he wanted. he asked if I was a Christian and tried to badger me. Mr. [redacted] continued to threaten me and called me dishonest, he would not listen to anything I had to say, instead spoke over me. I told Mr [redacted] to do what he felt was necessary and if I don't receive payment, I would turn it over to a collection agency as it was obvious he was not going to be reasonable, instead was just going to try and bully his way out of paying his bill. We are a small family owned company and have been in business for 16 years and have never had a complaint about our work or pricing.

Having contractors work at the same time creates issues with warranty and insuranceIf issues arise it is often challenging for insurance companies to determine who did whatThus is it our company policy to not work on projects that another contractor has started or is currently working on. Had Mrs*** told me, I would not have sent a techto her home. It is clear we have a difference of opinion as to how the conversations wentEven though we feel the original bill of $was a fair price for the work that was completed, we will write off the bill to bad debt and chalk it up to a lesson learned.*** ***
