Review: After contacting this company in regard to a refrigerator issue, the initial visit resulted in a bill for #117.95, for a short in the wire and a broken cover over the light bulb which was a result of the service person actions by not properly unscrewing . In less then 24 hours I had to recontact the company again the same service person arrived and informed he was unable to determine the problem prior, I needed a new defrost timer,which was stated on the bill as installed, however was not,another bill for $162.68 . The final straw to replace the timer would cost an additional $40.00,which should have been replaced during the second visit as stated on the receipt,however was not done . No disagonstic was preformed prior to the situation for options available without continued charges for services/repairs not rendered. An adjustment of the bill would be a consideration to remedy this situation for services not preformed as stated and food spoilage.Desired Settlement: Correction of the problem without further charges.

Major Appliance was contacted by [redacted] to service her Danby Refrigerator on September [redacted] A mechanic went to her home on September [redacted] and found her refrigerator plugged into an adapter that was not secured into the outlet, causing the unit not to run. Removed adapter and plugged into the outlet, secured all wires for thermostat, and left unit working properly. Charge: $117.95 On September [redacted] called the office stating refrigerator was not working. A mechanic went the same day and found the defrost timer not functioning, causing unit not to run. Notified customer of need for defrost timer and customer agreed. Notified consumer that a defrost thermostat sensor may also be necessary if problem persisted. Charge for September [redacted] was $162.68, which reflects providing and installing a defrost timer. Customer was told if defrost thermostat sensor was also needed, there would be an additional charge of $40.00, which represents only the part, there would be no charge for labor. During Labor Day weekend, a message was left on our answering machine from [redacted]. When office reopened on Tuesday, September [redacted]'s call was returned to phone number ###-###-####. To date, no return call has been received, leaving Major Appliance unaware of the refrigeration problem. Upon receipt of letter from Revdex.com, Major Appliance was made aware of the issue with [redacted]'s refrigerator. Major Appliance called [redacted] at 7:11pm on Monday, September [redacted], and at 8:30am on Tuesday, September [redacted] to attempt to resolve the problem. As per letter received, Major Appliance will also send [redacted] an email in an attempt to resolve the problem. We are eager to resolve this issue. Thank you.
