Making A Change Reviews (7)

I purchased two magazine subscriptions from the door to door salesman working for Making A Change after business hours on March 25,2015. The order form clearly states they will hold my check for 3 business days, however, the check I wrote to cover this purchase cleared my bank in two days. I was told it could take up to 120 days before the magazines would start to be delivered. I waited over that time period and tried to contact the company but the phone number is no longer a working phone line. After reading the reviews on BBB website, I feel the persons responsible for making these special needs men and women who are working so hard to sell these magazines as a SCAM should be held accountable! Disgraceful!

In April 2015, we paid for magazine subscriptions from this door to door salesman, who belonged to Making A Change We live in *** ***, IN
We never received these magazines, and it's now Feb2016, we were wary of this operation, and we were proved correct

I ordered 4 magazine subscriptions on 6/27/14 and never received them. Their phone number is disconnected.

This group came to my neighborhood 6 months ago saying I could purchase a magazine and it would help excons. I agreed to purchase one magazine and wrote a check.
The check was cashed and no magazine ever arrived.
Another person came around today with the same story. When I asked about my previous subscription he became upset saying everybody in our neighborhood is saying it is a scam because of what 'someone else' did. But it was this same organization.
Avoid at all costs. Do NOT 'donate' a subscription. Nobody will ever get that subscription just like you will not get your magazines if you buy it for yourself. Luckily I only lost $16.

I called to cancel my order and there is no answer. I've left multiple voice messages, but no returned calls. I'm realizing this is most likely a scam and even if I don't get the chance to cancel within 3 business days as the paperwork promises, I will probably not receive any of the magazines ordered.
