I've had roofs done by Mallard with excellent resultsOne was a replacement roof and one was on a new homeAll work wad done timely and the staff was very helpful in helping select the best product for both jobsThey also worked very well with our insurance on the replacement roodThis was my first experience in filing a claimOne thing I really appreciated was they kept the site clean
I would highly recommend Mallard and would use them again

I had received many at-door contacts from roofing companies; and was more favorably impressed with the Mallard people than others I quickly eliminated companies that were not from this areaMy experience with Mallard Roofing was principally through Spencer *** I have been very pleased with Mr ***, and Mallard The roof was finished timely; the material (Impact Resistant Class IV GAF shingles, and other material used) is first-class, and the installation seems high grade I would certainly recommend this company, and this representative

Mallard Construction

Ive been doing buisness with Mallard Roofing and Construction for almost 5 years. Mallard has gone above and beyond my expectations with 2 damage claims to to my previous home and one claim to a rental property I own that were damaged by storms. They do an outstanding job identifying exactly what is needed to be done and work with your insurance company (if necessary) to make sure your roof is done right the first time and as quickly as possible! Mallard also was responsible for the construction of a new home that we moved into this past fall. Without a doubt the best decision we could have made as we absolutely love our new home! I would completely trust this company with any and all roofing and construction needs and will definately do business with them again should and when the need arises!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2015/03/26) */
In response to the salesman lying, in the City of Norman and the State of Oklahoma we have adopted the 2009 International Builders Code. We are very knowledgable in code, however each city or material manufacture may not police or...

inspect each item or even sell permits that protect the property owners. We feel, as a company, it is our responsibility to know the code because at the end of the day my company is the one liable for work not done properly. In response to the drip edge issue, the home did not have drip edge. The insurance company, in this case, paid for code upgrades. It does not matter what the neighbors have done. Those are not my jobs and I am not responsible for their companie's actions. In short, we operate by the code and most of our customers appreciate that we are knowledgeable on these items for the proper protection of their assets.
I personally met with the homeowners on this project and discussed their concerns. We spoke about damage to gutters, nails, a broken plant and even a fake owl who's head had been popped off. I said I would replace it then picked up the head and it snapped back on and they said it was fine.
The job looks every bit as good as any roof in the neighborhood, if not better. Mallard is held to a higher standard by our shingle manufacturer. We are a GAF Master Elite Contractor (1 of only 10 in the State of Oklahoma). We are 1 of only 10 that GAF will even inspect the roofing system for. Some roofing jobs take 1 day some take more. On this one, there were some delays and it took more than one day, but we don't roof for speed... we roof per manufacturer's specifications. If any job will take more than a day and there is any chance of inclimant weather, we always put a tarp on the roof for protection.
This was an insurance job and an estimate was provided to the insurance company in detail for the work we were to perform. The balance has been paid at this time and the homeowner has been given his warranty. Warranties by Mallard are never issued until final payment has been made.
As stated earlier, just because a city or state inspector doesn't check each job, doesn't mean we shouldn't do it to code. I don't speed in my car just because I don't see a policeman, it's the same concept.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 19, 2015/03/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I like how they just skipped over everything they did not want to answer like. never received a estimate and was only told they would accept what the insurance payed, but was caught in a long dispute between the insurance and Mallard Const. I was not given a choice about the drip edge and would not care if they had put it on right, but it looks pieced together like they did not know how to use the product. excessive damage cause by the sub contractors the home owners property should never be tolerated. They left out they did not come back for a day and a half eve though the weather was good.

The people at Mallard Construction are very professional, friendly and easy to work with.
They are also cost competitive on all their work.

We hired Mallard Construction to install a roof in October 2013. As of today, the roof is still leaking. Mallard has come out three separate times to repair the leaks. We have now filed a lawsuit against them. I would not recommend this company at all. My kitchen has sheetrock torn down because of the roof leaking into the kitchen. After they finished the roof in 2013 they left trash in my flower bed and yard. They stomped on our flowers. Beware.

Very happy with the finished product. I'd recommend Mallard to others requiring roofing work.

I did some research online and discovered Mallard is a local family company and has been around around since 2000. We needed a new roof, and I was not looking forward to having to speak to my insurance company as I knew it would stressful and I just did not have the time. Mallard took care of it all from start to finish. I could not be happier with the roof and the service I got. With storm season coming up, I would avoid and out of town company ringing your doorbell. Choose a company a company that is not going anywhere. Mallard will take care of all your needs. The owners name is John and he takes customer service to a whole new level.
