Mallard sold us Empire Gas logs in the fall. They are not working Call for service twice! NO SHOW NO CALL ! That was a mouth ago still no service !!!We bought our gas logs from Mallard gas and oil in the fall of 2013. The sales person was and is a good person! When it came time to use the logs they would stay lit for a while and just go out! After they cooled down they would re-Lite ! You never know how long they will stay lite! We called Mallard and the manager told gave a date that was two weeks out! I was little taken back ! But if that the best you can do OK! Two weeks later No show ! NO Call! Called Them back the manager was not sympathetic at all ! His response was we are only human! gave use another time again two weeks out! The [redacted]'s did call in with a problem with the logs and were told that Mallard was about two weeks out on service calls. During the winter months customers with gas heat as their only heat source get priority over customers who use gas heat as secondary heat. However, Mallard did fail to follow up with the [redacted] and schedule to have the logs checked out. Mrs. [redacted] called back and spoke with our manager about getting someone out to check the logs. She was very angry (rightfully so) and very unprofessional. Our manager apologized for not contacting her and tried to schedule an appointment to check out the logs. Mrs. [redacted] declined to schedule a service call to check out the logs. Mrs. [redacted] told our manager she did not want Mallard out to look at the logs.We would like the opportunity to try to satisfy the customer in this case. If Mr. or Mrs. [redacted] would contact me, I will schedule an appointment for our service personnel to check out the gas logs.Consumer Response The first part of there replay is true ! But the last part is not my wife was upset because she felt that having to wate another two weeks was two far out ! We do understand that people with out heat should come first ! They had already rescheduled with me ! My wife called back to ask why we were having to wate another two weeks ! she never at no time told them we did-not won't them to service the logs! The problem is as in a lot of business is They love to sale but hate to service what they sale! I enjoyed working with [redacted] the sales person! I spent over $4000 there last year! I have contacted The log manufac. and they assured me that they would honor the warranty if I called another company! So with that said We have went with another gas company . We will no longer be doing business with these people!

delivered propane after I told then not to as I was switching to electrical.
