Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] The cradles that I used to keep my fishing Kayak in an up rightposition is an option, but is not necessaryIf I did not use the cradles at all, the keel of my Kayak would have put the same weight on the same spot of the crossbarsIt was the crossbars that failed, and they do not come with any weight restrictions Malone used the cradles as an excuse for not up holding their warrantee, which is very transparent and shows the true character of the company and their polices Regards, [redacted]

The Malone warranty does not cover problems resulting from conditions beyond Malone’s control including, but not limited to, theft, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the product in accordance with Malone’s written instructions or guidelines included with the product provided
to the original retail purchaserIn this case, the kayak transported exceeded the weight limits of the carrier usedThe lack of proper weight distribution from that carrier led to the failure/bending of the customers XbarsWith the proper saddles used, distributing the weight over a larger surface area as needed would prevent this issueReplacing these Xbars would only result in the same failureWe support the decision of *** speaking for our Technical and Customer Service Department

I am sorry that your company could not step up to the plate on this such a small matterI thought that going through the Revdex.com that some kind of fair conclusion would have taken place even if we both met half wayI see that this is not the caseSince I have the time I will pursue this case further in our small claims court, maybe something will come out of that

An issue has been brought to our attention regarding some wear issues on a vehicle from the use of our product. Malone is not the manufacture of the HandiRack, but the North American distributor. We will honor all warranties from the manufacturer of [redacted].We have thousands of these units being...

used in the field daily and have not had an issue of this severity reported to us. While we stand behind our products, we do not feel this was an problem with the product itself. Malone went above and beyond in offering upgraded replacements to insure said issues could not be recreated/repeated. This offer was unsatisfactory to the customer. Wanting the customer to be satisfied, Malone agreed to pay for damages.
