I apologize for not receiving your voicemails, I will double check with the inbound call center as well as after hours to see if it was missedOur Preventative Maintenance Contract does not include a coil cleaningWe only rinse the coils and brush the surface of them, no deep cleaningThe
additional work that the technician recommended was to do a deep clean for an additional price because the unit was still freezing up because of lack of air flowThis is the same thing that the other contractor recommended as we didWhen you initially called into the office the notes in the computer made where that you requested a Preventative Maintenance and we quoted you our Annual price for the system based on what you told the inbound call centerI will be more than happy to refund your $but as I stated this was not part of our Maintenance and the technician noted that the coil was iced up and made his recommendations to have it cleanedRefund check will be cut next week and mailed to the address we have on file

There are two separate issues that the homeowner seems to be lumping into oneFirst thebuckling of the hardwood by the back door which most likely occurred because of rainwatergetting in through when the door was left openIt was noticed soon after they closed andmoved in and there was really no
way of knowing if it was left open by the homeowners or oneof the workers before closing so I told them that I would accept responsibility for it and replacethat section which we did last summer.The second issue is the cupping of the hardwood in other parts of the houseThis is not coveredby the warranty as I explained to them last year but I did offer to sand and refinish thefloors for them but suggested that we wait a year to be sure that the wood did not cup more afterwe were doneThey were also told that the cupping may be reduced in that time and itwould be best to evaluate after the yearSeveral weeks ago the ***’ contacted us to say thatthey were still unhappy with the floor and would like it sanded and refinished which I said Iwas willing to do.I am a little surprised and not happy to receive this complaint after agreeing to do somethingfor them when I could have just said that it wasn’t covered by warranty and walked away.Thomas JS***, President

[redacted]As I stated in my last response there are two different issues. If the floor is buckling by theback door then there is water getting in in that area. It is not related to the cupping of the floorsin other areas of the house. I will have Shannon from my office contact the customer to set upa time to address this right away.The second issue is the cupping of the hardwood in other parts of the house. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is at this point acceptable.  Mr. S[redacted] is correct in the fact that there are two issues that need to be resolved.  We have set up an appointment to see what is causing the warping of the floors by the backdoor.  We have complied with Malta Development on the other issue of the cupped hardwood and have waited the time period as requested.  We are in hopes that both issues can now be resolved in a timely manner.Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It is correct that although I did agree to the sanding and refinishing of the floors, I did so only because the floors have nit corrected themselves as the builder assumed and that is the only solution they offered.  However, the moisture problem has not been resolved, and the floor near the back door has once again buckled.  I notified the builder of this on July 6, 2015 and have received no response. There is clearly still a big issue if the floor is once again warping. Malta Development needs to stand behind the product they build and correct the mistakes made during the process.
