After *** came on a Thursday, they informed us to go ahead and bring in a mattress & box springsThree days later, we found more bugs on itLast Friday, *** came in and sprayed againAt 10pm that night, there were bed bugs on the mattressI washed & dried the curtains &
folded themThey were on the kitchen table to be put back up, so we could try to sleep in thereUpon picking up one of the curtains today, there were bed bugs crawling on itThey are now back in the washer & dryerThis means that they have moved to the kitchen (which I have a home made wood table & coming toward the livingroom, where we are trying to sleep in reclinersThis is becoming very hazardous to my healthI get no sleep, leg cramps, numbness in legs, and stress close to stroking outWe are at the point we can't stay here anymoreWe have a wedding & reception in November here, and we are trying to obtain a lawyer to help file a civil suit against the owner *** ***Can you help?Thanks *** ***

I went back and found the photo of the futon, which does in fact say late may. The june item was a payment to them. His manager & asst manager both stated it was new. My son got the paperwork, so I didn't see it was used. My name was to be on that paper also. Yes we called on a sunday to his managers personal cell, and I text it also. I never heard from him. I was at the store on Monday morning when they opened. We have tried to be in compliant with the owner, who does not respond, gives no one the authority to take care of anything. We had to call several stores to find out he "went on vacation & left no one in charge", then told he went to Florida & his daughter, who was to reimburse us, left to be with him for a week. He can say all he wants about doubting it came from the futon, when I have pictures of the futon & the inside showing the infestation of the bugs. [redacted] now says they may have to drill into the wall, pull the baseboard trim & ceiling trim. I have numerous items that have shrunk because they had to be dried, and were not supposed to be. He has caused me to have seizures, sleep upright in a rocker & have only a few items of clothing in the house. [redacted] knows we have found them on our kitchen table, which was hand made. [redacted] is a liar & does not want to take the responsibility for what his manager & asst manager of the Hollister Missouri store has done to him. [redacted] is coming tomorrow again. Please don't believe him.

I am rejecting this response because: The mattress in FACT was USED and not NEW. The futon was told to me BY his manager that it was in fact NEW. This matter is NOT over. We have several more reimbursements due to us, for items that shrunk that were NOT to be dried, but we were forced to dry. I asked to put the contract in my sons' name and mine. He lives with us in our home, and the [redacted] person is STILL coming to the house that we are STILL having them and the [redacted] man stated they are now in the wall. So this matter has NOT been taken care of and the owner REFUSES to contact us or speak with us about this matter.

Mrs [redacted] did not purchase the futon on June 3rd.  Her son [redacted] actually purchased it on Saturday,  May 20th 2017.  The contract that was signed by the renter for the futon clearly states that the item is used.  The manager of our store was supposedly contacted on the 21st of May.  That is a Sunday and is not a working day for any of our employees.  Someone from the company has at all times been in contact with one of the [redacted]s.  They have the owners personal cell number also. Payless has reimbursed the [redacted]'s for any expense they have incurred and also paid to have their house professionally exterminated.  They were also given a new mattress and box spring at no expense. There has also never been any proof that this issues is a result of the futon they rented from us and spent less than 24 hours in their home.  To our knowledge the matter had been resolved.

We are still waiting for the [redacted] person to come spray again. If Mr. [redacted] thinks this is "taken care of", he is mistaken. He has NOT been very cooperative with us. We have called, left messages, to which he won't return the calls. We have to continuously call him. I am now using a walker and/or cane to get around. The stress he has caused on me is making my medical conditions worse. And F.Y.I. when [redacted], from Forsyth store, brought our USE mattress (not new) and new box spring, before bringing it in the house, I made him put covers on them. He took the plastic off the box spring, only to find a cockroach. He was as mortified as I and my son were.

I am sorry this has happened to you but I still believe they didnt come from our store. Prior to getting our furniture you were renting from [redacted]'s. Could they have come from them? We have never had bed bugs in our store. Also the only guy...

from [redacted] who has been to our Hollister store last name is [redacted]. We still have [redacted] and they can attest to the fact that our stores do not have bed bugs.
