Mama Mia's Pizza Reviews (7)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter to be resolved based on the response below.Given that the earlier responses I received from [redacted] included resolutions that were unacceptable, I thought it would be fitting that the community might be afforded the opportunity to benefit from this unfortunate circumstanceI’m more that pleased that she agrees and is being gracious enough to add additional funds to the balance of the gift cards that she was currently blocking on my account.I have donated the four gift cards with the combined balance of $to the Connetquot Youth Soccer League I will inform the President of the league that she will be generously adding an even higher value as part of Mama Mia’s additional contribution to the league and that he can expect to receive more than the $dollar balance that he anticipated using for end of the season team events. While after years of patronage it’s disappointing that the situation required the forum of the Revdex.com to be able to arrive at a resolution, but I am pleased that a worthy youth organization in the community will benefit Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
While I understand and sympathize with *** ***'s personal situation, my customer service experience is at the heart of my complaint. I'm not sure why she thinks this is a personal issue or continues to try to make it one based on comments she made about me being uneducated during our disagreement on the phone or the by referring to me as classless in her response.I have been a customer for over years since my wife and I had moved to Ronkonkoma. We were loyal patrons of both the pizzeria and the restaurant during that time and were accustomed to great service and delicious food, so much so that we had multiple events at the restaurant including communions and other family gatherings. That's why I'm curious as to why *** *** thinks I dislike the food as I would still be a patron was it no for this horrific customer service experience. On Mother's Day, I fully expected to be able to use the gift cards that I had in my possession. As stated in her response, *** *** mentions that the gift cards were always accepted at the pizzeria, yet when I called to order that day I was told that they would not accept it. While the gift cards don't expire as she also noted and the back clearly states that there can be no refund, I fully believe that terms of the gift card were broken when I was not allowed to use them on Mother's Day. The gift cards didn't clearly state any black out period and should have been valid on Mother's Day. In addition, I am not aware of any notification that was made to the patrons and to my knowledge notification wasn't made until late Monday following Mother's Day as I noted a *** post regarding the gift cards

We would like to let *** *** know that we would be more than happy to reissue the cards to these children's organizations adding an even higher value as an additional contribution I don't quite understand why he would donate cards to any organization or person for that matter, while in the midst of a dispute with the Revdex.com As soon as we get the names of the organizations we will personally go there and give them brand new cards of higher value That is absolutely an acceptable settlement for us as we have always been involved heavily in our community Our windows of the pizzeria as well as the inside have always accepted any local charity events, or community flyers

*** On December *, my husband who owned Mama Mias Ristorante with me, passed away of a *** *** and left me with children and both businesses to run as a single mother of three We were lucky
enough to have someone inquire about buying the restaurant and on April *** and we sold it We informed all of the restaurant patrons that all of the gift cards bought from Mama Mias Ristorante will be honored at Mama Mia’s Pizzeria one mile awayThe gift cards were always valid for both locations. The restaurant system was saved on a badata base by Tally POS our terminal processor on August *** as soon as the closing papers were signed Tally POS then started to transfer all of the unused gift cards to the pizzeria terminal via the internet system they have Due to the large number of gift cards…over years… THAT DO NOT EXPIRE…this process was taking some timeWe again notified our patrons of the restaurant it would take a few weeks to complete the transfer process and to bare with us. On Mother’s Day, May ***, *** contacted me at the Pizzeria to place an order and use his gift cards When the gift cards were not registering properly he canceled the order and wanted his money back immediately in cashI could not call the company because they are not open on Sundays and tried to tell him that but he would not even let me speak He started screaming at me with fowl language when I tried to explain that, and he continued to scream and curse at me I was so shaken and upset I had to hang up to avoid the verbal abuse.Customers who purchase gift cards are clearly told they cannot be redeemed for cash because the card never expires and it also states on the back of the card that it cannot be redeemed for cash as wellThere is a photo of this disclaimer attached*** *** is a regular customer of ours so to say that he would not trust us to prepare his food is absurd *** is also a local resident who frequents both the pizzeria and restaurant and also new my husband recently died and this was my first mother’s day for my children and I without my husband so to do this to me and call the Revdex.com is just classlessI have been in business for years and never had a issue like this.As a patron of both the pizzeria and restaurant, he is clearly not telling the truth that he doesn’t like our food and should be ashamed of himself the way he treated me and spoke to me in general as a human being, considering we did everything we said we would in honoring all gift cards from our restaurant I even tried to offer him to use it for catered food and would deliver it to his home at a later date.Everyone in the neighborhood knows our family and the quality of our food which is why we are in business over years prior to opening the restaurant in I am still more than happy to honor all of his gift cards at our other establishment as well as all of my other customers
