This is our response to complaint recieved via mail 11/29/2017and after speaking to ***The work actually completed was the actual invoiced amount for $The picture sent with complaint was addtional work that would be $to remove the black carpet padding from the stairsThat
pic had nothing to do with the work I completedThe work completed that was invoiced was as follows:Removed treads,risers, and boardsInstalled blocking on bottem stepInstalled new mitered skirt board and risers.Also installed new Oak open end treadsThere were a total of riders and Oak open treadsOther materials were screws, finish nails, power grabber construction adhesive-tubes and wood glueI spent half day finding and purchasing materials used on *** job and unloading my toolsThe next day my employee and myself worked in her home from 8:30am-2:pmOn Oct.26,2017, I recieved a text from *** "Lookd Great! were u able to measure so can give me estimate for trim and other stuff?" No complaints were given to me over the work I completedI have included pictures of the actual stairs I completedThat is all I invoiced her for. The picture with the complaint was stairs she wanted sanded and painted. I disucssed with *** that it could not be done Due to the fact that she, her brother, and son use WDto attempt to clean the black carpet pad offThe WDcan is setting on the stairs in the the pic *** *** provided to yoI refused to use me *** sander and dust collector with the oily residue left behind from their cleaning with WDI had given her a estimate of $to clean the carpet pad off, but *** chose to clean herselfTherefore it was not includedFurthermore, I did not give estimate for painting or stainingWhen I spoke with *** and her father, I estimated cost would be $1,not $1,I broke down the jobs in stagesWe only agreed on what I completedand billed for. As for the alleged phone call on 11/6/2017, there was no phone conversationThere were texts between usI will be sending pictures of texts following this emailIt proves that the estimates were seperate from work billedIt was never agreed upon.It would have been additional workThere is also a text from *** that she said she would pay invoice. Never mentioned any issuesThere was a phone call initiated per*** son on 11/21/@ 2:18Pm lasting 6minand 5seconds questioning my hoursI explained that it was not an hourly job it was based upon materials and laborI did attempt to educate him on taxes,comp and insurance my company has to pay, he told me to have a good day and hung upNo further contact has occurred.
