I contracted with Ideal Moving and Storage mainly to move a grand piano from Geneva, IL to Brooklyn, NYI spoke to a number of moving companies to ensure they have movers experienced in moving a grand pianoAlex H***, the sales agent at Ideal Moving and Storage, assured me that they have moved many pianos in their years of operationsI informed him that the legs of the piano w [redacted] need to come off to move it out of the house and put back on at destinationHe said that wasn't a problem at all When the movers showed up this Monday, 10/**, for the move, they had no idea that they were suppose to move a grand piano and were not equipped to do soThey picked the other items, a pack of dishes, a clock, a 9Xrug and one artworkSince the movers didn't show up until 6:in the evening, by the time we were informed that they couldn't move the piano, it was passed 9:pm, no one answered when I called customer service and sales When I spoke to customer service the next day,

The crewmembers came on time, and started the job immediatelyThey worked quickly, but carefully, and in the end, used less time than we had originally anticipatedI even ended up paying slightly lower than the estimate the company gave, and that was impressiveThank you guys for a job well done

Truly a pleasure having these wonderful guys from Ideal handle my moveThey were very efficient and professional, as well as being highly responsive to any query that I hadTheir expertise was quite visible when it came to addressing the challenges that came up during different stages of the move

This company ticked all of the boxes when I was looking for a moving companyThey had quite the track record, and I could not resist giving them a callThe initial call went better than I had expected, as the rep gave me all of the information I neededThe inspection was very thorough, and the quote was very reasonableThe day of the move went according to plan, and I can say that the whole thing was a successThank you so much, Ideal

1- I talked to their sales mans, Elijah, who gave me the moving estimate, $for cfI called them several times and we exchanged e-mail times back and forth (exact count) to make sure about the price and serviceI was promised that I will get a free "flight of stairs" fee (I lived on 2nd floor and moving to 3rd floor) since I am paying $for a "special trip" fee (according to them, they have to make a special trip from their dispatch location, Atlanta in GA, to my new place [redacted] **) by ElijahI was also promised that there won't be any hidden fees, whatever they do during the moving process, it is included in the price$was charged for deposit- Pick up date, 11/20/I had to add two more cf boxes and a gaming chairOn the paper, it said $per cfWhen the pick up guys came, they looked around the house and checked the itemsThey showed me the price paper that says $which is wrong, and he said I have to pay $totalThat was $dollars more than what I was promised to payHere is whyI asked the moving team leader how he came up with the priceHe said the unexpected packages are cf, including of cf boxes, a gaming chair and a head board of the bedI said, "those are obviously not cf, tell me how he came up with the number"He did not give me any further explanation but just said, "Our system calculated this"and he showed me a "contract" that I have never seen or informed beforeIt said, for unexpected package, $per cfSo I paid $more for thatHe, later on, asked me for more money for the "flight of stairs." I told him that I was told those fees are included in the price alreadyHe said, "no", and still charged me $for stairs (we only had stairs to the second floor which he lied to me)I am not done yetHe asked me for more money for the packing fee (sofa cover, TV stand cover, dining table cover, desks cover, and roles of tape that they used to wrap them.) That was another $I called the customer service and talked to Oliver, he was right below manageI asked him to talk to the pick up guy and fix this issueHe denied and advised me to pay what pick up guy is asking and just file a claim later when everything is doneI told him I want to cancel everything and want these people to leave my apartmentHe told me if I cancel it, they will take the deposit $and a cancellation fee $I did not have time so I just decided to follow his advice and file a claim laterso I paid 70% of the total, $by check at the spot- A couple of days later, I got a phone call from a driver from a dispatch department and was told that my package was ready for deliveryI told him that the delivery date is set to 11/24/He said I will be charged for the storage fee for holding my packageI called the customer service right away and asked to speak with the manage, AlexaI explained everythingShe seemed to be understanding at firstShe promised that she will take care of it for meI didn't have my new address at the momentShe told me to update her with the new address ASAPShe promised that my package will be delivered by the next weekend, 12/01/2018~12/02/On 11/WednesdayI got the new address and called Alexa via the direct number that she gave meSome random department answeredThey transferred me to the customer service departmentThey finally transferred me to AlexaWhen I gave her my name and information, she couldn't remember me nor find my informationShe said, "Did you move with us? are you sure?" and she put me on hold for mins and never came backI called her after work but she left her office alreadyI tried the next day, she never answered her phoneSo I talked to Oliver, and asked about my package statusHe said he has no information for my packageThey didn't have any information of my package but just saying "We will check with the dispatch team and let Alexa know that you are looking for herShe will give you a call tomorrow." I waitedToday, I called her again around 10:p.mShe answered, I gave her my name and she just transferred me to the sale departmentI called her again, she never answeredSo I asked one of the receptions to leave her a message to call meI never got a call from herI tried again around 12:p.mOther woman answered the phoneI asked for Alexa and she said, "Alexa is not availableShe's not working todayShe's coming back on Tuesday." I told her, "I just spoke with her this morning." She hung upSo I called customer service and ask OliverThey said, Olive is not available at the moment and she will leave him a messageI never got a call from any one of themThe delivery date is tomorrow 11/30/and they don't give me a call or email me, nothing

Do Not Use This Company! I wished that I would be speaking praises of my experience with Ideal Moving by now but unfortunately this has been one of the worst customer experiences of my life After speaking with several moving companies I had finally selected Ideal since their sales team was very nice, the cost was reasonable, and they had assured me my items could be delivered in time frame I was looking for (7-days) Not guaranteed but pending no major event that would be very possible A day before my scheduled pick up they called me to say they had misquoted me and my delivery location had additional fees to it and asked me to resign a contract for an additional $ I was irritated with this since I no longer had time to make other arrangements Their price was still fair though so I agreed The day of delivery the gentlemen that came were professional and treated my things well At the end after everything was loaded in the truck though they came back and said my things took more space than originally estimated so now I owed an additional $700!! I was very upset by this but what could I do...my things were in their truck already This now made them the highest bid I had received They had essentially doubled my original quote I wish that were the last of my issues However it has now been weeks since they picked up my furniture and it has not been delivered yet Customer service, dispatch, and the original driver either do not return phone calls or cannot provide an update I called originally a week after my furniture had been picked up only to be informed it had not left Los Angeles, the starting location yet No explaination was available for this Two days later I called and was told it was on the way I was given the drivers name and number After several attempts to contact the driver to check a delivery schedule I called customer service again to be informed they did not know where the driver was; they do not GPS track or require them to check in They also could not provide a delivery schedule I was placed on hold a long time and then was told they had spoken to the driver and my things would be delivered in roughly days; the driver would call me to confirm with hours notice days came and went No call I reached out to driver again to finally get a response from him saying he’s on way to Texas and my things aren’t in his truck They’re in Chicago I called customer service and asked for delivery update and explaination That information was not available and I would have to wait for a call days later I called again and after requesting to speak with a manager was told dispatch is in charge of scheduling and would call me before end of day That was days ago I still have no update and no furniture This was been a complete nightmare

I’m proud and happy to say that everything about my move went very smoothly, the office staff and the movers were all professional, From the initial phone call by Sean the salesman to packing of our household items and to the final delivery, there were no surprises or hidden feesThey gave us a great service for the price All of our furniture were properly placed and accounted for, nothing has been broken (which is rare for me)Ideal Moving really maintains a high standard of operation and by the way the crew leader Allen was fantastic and polite and my wife…aww lord, she was really nagging him from start to end and let me tell you… it’s not easy to make my wife happy and they did so…needless to say we will highly recommend Ideal Moving & Storage to everyone who needs to move and would definitely use them again on our next move

Moving while heavily pregnant is not easy, but, the guys from Ideal Moving made my life at that time less stressfulThey took care of everything and I will be forever grateful for thatI didn’t have to do anything and yet they ensured that all of my requirements and requests were metThey took care of my things like we were royaltyThank you

We only gave them a three-day notice for our move, and the people from Ideal still came through for usThey did an exceptional job, and we are definitely looking forward to hiring them again in the near future

This is a quality company, offering quality moving servicesFive out of five stars and a serious round of applause

Five stars is too few to give to such a wonderful companyI had no idea that moving could be such a breezeI am so lucky that I found these guys when I didThe time they took for the entire move was shorter than I had anticipated, the crew was extra nice, and the money I had to spend was not all that badThanks guys for the amazing experience!
