Mrand Mrs, ***,Thank you for your business and the opportunity to discuss the circumstances surrounding your relationship with Amplify Credit Union. I have reviewed the information you have submitted, the application details for the two requests noted and offer the following
response;The Home Owner Express program applied for is an important part of the overall product suite that we offer to our members and has been an established program for several yearsWe continually monitor each of our programs in the attempt to insure that we are meeting the credit needs of our members in a manner that is prudent for both the member and AmplifyTherefore, we may amend the parameters under which we grant credit as we deem appropriateIn this circumstance, while the technical requirements of the program have remained constant for over years, we have begun to place greater emphasis on an applicant's historical usage of similar sized credit and their employment stability. On June 16, 2017, an application for our Home Owner Express program, for *** *** as a single applicant, was received for $16,and denied based on excessive obligations in relation to income and Insufficient Credit references. On June 19, 2017, a new request for the same program and terms was submitted that included both *** and *** as applicantsThis application came into our process from a different branch, and our staff, both branch and loan lending, did not do an acceptable job of connecting the two applications which contained slightly different informationIn our review of the file, it was confirmed that Mr*** had an existing Home Owner Express loan with an approximate balance of $10,that was in good standing (the program only allows a single loan of this type per household.) Because the applicants otherwise met the program requirements, and the combined amount of the existing balance and current request were within program criteria, a member of our Amplify team attempted to speak with *** on June 19, at 3:46PM to see if you would allow us to complete a single loan that would wrap the existing loan balance into the total requestOur records indicate that in that conversation *** chose not to go forwardOnce an applicant begins the application process, our representatives are required to complete the process even if the applicant discloses information that could cause the request to be denied or receive an alternate offer of creditIn your circumstances, you indicate that you disclosed that Mr*** already had this type of loan with AmplifyOur records do indicate disclosure of an existing unsecured loan with Amplify, yet it is apparent that we did not recognize that the existing loan could be adverse to the new request.Within the application process, Amplify Credit Union obtains a credit report that is reflected on the applicant's credit reportBased upon our commitments within the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we would not be able to alter that fact when an actual application was made.We are sorry for the series of events where Amplify failed to meet your needs or expectationsIt is clear that we could have done a better job with our internal and external communication which should have resulted in a clear path to an acceptable solution quicklyIt is also clear that we were attempting, to the end, to find options that would accommodate your request.Please let me know how I can further assist you.Thank you for your patience and membership with Amplify. *** ** ***Chief Lending OfficerAmplify Credit Union

I am rejecting this response because: It is 100% possible for Amplify to reverse the hard credit inquiry, this will result in a lawsuit against Amplify since they are failing to remove the hard inquiry, with the facts surrounding that  I already had an open homeowners express loan.  That said, our next step will be having our lawyer contact Amplify, as this is not an acceptable response.

we were unable to reach him. Before his account was closed, Mr. [redacted] was offered several opportunities to come In and complete the Amplify Dispute Forms on fraudulent transactions in order to file a claim; unfortunately he did not do that. Therefore, we had no choice but to follow our standard procedures that we have for all members when they have a delinquent account. We have reviewed our records and have confirmed that no unauthorized credit reports have been pulled by Amplify nor has Amplify done anything unethical or illegal with Mr. [redacted] account. It is a standard practice to freeze a checking account for  members where another deposit or loan account is not in good standing.Based upon the fact that as of 11/13/2017, you owed delinquent payments for September and October2017 a hold was placed on your checking account which was also overdrawn at that time. On11/15/2017, a direct deposit was posted that was sufficient to cover the two payments due. Once the two payments were posted to your loan account the hold was removed from your accountWe trust that this was an isolated incident and that you will be able to maintain your accounts in a current status in the future. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have additional questions.
