Review: Purchased vehicle

Dealer promised to mail registration and title never mailed.

Sold me a car that had the airbag light on. Had defect and I had to have another dealer repair.

Car had 2 worn out tires and 2 new tires that were the wrong size.

I called numerous times and they answer the phone and hang up on you. They pretend the phone is broken.Desired Settlement: Send me the registration and title as promised.

Assist me with the tire replacement I paid $750. and had spent 3 hours at a dealer for the repair.

Response:

We mailed the registration today. We did not know the customer wanted the registration mailed to him. The customers temp was not expired. The customer claimed he called on Saturday and spoke to a woman to have his registration mailed. We do not have any women that are here on Saturdays. so that is not possible. It is not normal procedure to mail the registration, but we did for this customer.

We are having a problem with our incoming phone calls. The phone company we deal with has been trying to fix the intermittent problem. We apologize for this.

The customer NEVER brought to our attention a check engine light, or issue with the tires. The car is under warranty, so if there is an issue, we would take care of it.

Response:

Factually when I purchased I requested that the documents be mailed. Both the sales manager and the salesman agreed. It was not mailed.

My wife called on Saturday 12/14/13 and spoke to a male employee at the dealership and the employee promised he would mail it.

That was 3 employees on two different dates who stated it would be mailed since I live far away. I have a police license plate and wanted it asap to avoid all the tickets from easypass. So even though the temp was still good it was not what the dealer agreed to do.

Was the registration and title mailed? Not clear

The dealer did not address the two worn out tires and the two wrong sized new tires. Nor did they address that the vehicle was certified yet an airbag light was illuminated until another Dodge dealer repaired a defect.

I am rejecting this response because:

Response:

The registration was mailed to the consumer last week when requested. I would assume that it has been received. If the airbag light is still a problem, we will take care of it anytime the customer would like. We have not inspected the tires to verify the customers complaint. If the customer would like to bring the car in we will inspect at no charge to the customer.

Review: I purchased a new 13 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Manahawkin in June. I extensively researched the GC and inquired if Manahawkin could install a sunroof. The [redacted]esman agreed. Prior to signing paperwork I specifically asked if the roof would perform the same as a factory-installed roof. He assured me there would be no difference in the performance of the dealer-installed roof. It would perform the same as the factory roof in my 08 GC. I immediately noticed a strong, dizzying vibration while driving with the roof open and immediately called to report the problem. The manager, [redacted], assured me the problem would be resolved and promised to contact the installer, Auto Sun Roof, Inc, and call me as soon as he spoke to them. [redacted] would not take or return my call. It took three attempts before he would speak to me. Auto Sun Roof inspected my GC but blatantly claimed there were no issues. As a “work around,” they offered to install a large wind deflector on the roof. This is the exact opposite type of deflector found in a factory roof and not what we agreed to. My father and I met [redacted] and drove my GC to show him the severe vibration. [redacted] felt the vibration but ignored my concerns, and blatantly denied a problem. To further prove my point we drove the same model GC with a factory roof. I noticed the smooth, quiet performance and pointed out the difference. [redacted] refused to accept this. While driving the second GC [redacted] depressed the mesh wind deflector causing the same vibration found in my GC caused by the lack of a deflector. He proved my point; the dealer roof does not perform the same as a factory roof. [redacted] refused to honor our contract: to install a roof which performs the same as a factory roof. [redacted] offered me a “deal” which required me to sell my week-old GC to him for a refund for use towards a new 14 GC. The difference in price of a 14 from the price of my GC amounted to $4,100. [redacted] also required I choose from very few options on his lot. The offer wasn’t fair.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for cost of the sunroof, $1,199 plus tax.

Response:

We have spoken to Chrysler and TrueCar (The buying service that referred the customer to us) several times. We explained to them and they agreed that the operation was normal. We did offer the the customer a full refund towards a new Gr Cherokee on our lot. Once again, Chrysler and TrueCar agreed we were being more than fair. At this point, there is noting else we could offer the customer. Attached is the letter of our offer to the customer.

Review: 5/9/15Took my 2013 [redacted] Compass to Manahawkin Jeep for scheduled synthetic oil change, upon making the appointment I mentioned A/C concerns, temperature was too hot, warm, I was told of an 89.95$ charge, for diagnostic testing, after 35 minutes, the receptionist came to me and said it would be 209.00$ to recharge the A/C system. I declined services at that point, knowing it was too expensive, I sat there for an additional 45 minutes waiting alone, no other parties were waiting for vehicles at that time, I became concerned as time passed, and was told they were getting prices, within 25 minutes I paid for the oil change and left the dealership, headed down Garden State Parkway, to exit **, to exit [redacted] I was curious, turned on the A/C, it was working fine, blowing cool air. I made it approximately 1 1/2 miles, then it started blowing hot air again. I called my local auto mechanic at [redacted] repair, he mentioned for me to bring the car in, after a very short bit, he took it into the bay, plugged it into the recharge system, and the bay filled with gas vapors, from prominent Freon dye leek coming from the condenser area. He placed special goggles on to identify that it was dye. Manahawkin Jeep, did unauthorized work to my vehicle, it caused further damage to my A/C.Desired Settlement: The total repair bill is 800.00$, being performed 5/12/15, at [redacted], I would respectfully like Manahawkin Jeep to make good on the unauthorized repairs they did on my vehicle, and /or offer a fair settlement with me.
