Manalapan Diner

Review: My husband and I went to the Manalapan Diner late Saturday (6/21/14) night. We ordered, ate and paid for our bill. The bill amount was listed as $38.13. I left a $7 cash tip on the table for our waiter, and I paid the bill of $38.13 using my husband's debit card.I checked our account this morning, and saw that the Manalapan Diner amount actually TOOK $44.13. More than what I authorized. I contacted my banking institute who verified that I had only authorized $38.13 and Manalapan Diner took the additional amount. A claim will be put in with our bank for the adjustment. Also, I observed another incident that night. I saw a waiter, for another table, who brought back the signed receipt and questioned the patrons if the $6.00 tip that was left on the card correct??? I was shocked! This incident further supports the notion that the employees at the Manalapan Diner are looking for ways to get more money, whether it be by legal or illegal means!Additionally, I pulled up the menu that they have posted online. After adding all the items that we ordered and added the 7% tax ... I believe that we were over charged in the very beginning. We ordered the following: Buffalo Wings, $7.99; Bowl of Matza Ball Soup, $2.99; Greek Style Burger, $6.79; Spanakopita, $10.99; and 2 soft drinks, $1.99 each. That totals: $32.74. Tax at 7%: $2.30 Grand Total: $35.04 Making it a $3.09 overcharge, plus the additional $6.00 they stole from us.Desired Settlement: These amounts of money are very small, however, if they are doing this to me and my husband, I cannot imagine how many other patrons they are stealing from.I request that the Manalapan Diner refund me the amount of $9.09, and that they get put on notice for fraud.
