Mango Medical Reviews (7)

This patient has a zero balance on his account. This patient's complaint is INVALID. His insurance was billed and the insurance said he owes a balance of $152.35 because they applied to his DEDUCTIBLE which means he was liable to pay the doctor $152.35 per his contract with his... insurance company. If he doesn't understand what a deductible is he should call the customer service department on the back of his insurance card. A patient's insurance plan is their own personal financial responsibility and they should understand their coverage because they pay monthly premiums for it. After his numerous complaints in every form of media imaginable his balance was written off because he had paid $69.80 at time of service. He is the one who acted fraudulently and did not uphold his financial responsibility as defined by his insurance company. The healthcare provider this patient saw was a physician's assistant and was an employee of Mango Medical, she had no right to give the patient any financial advise. This provider is no longer employed by Mango Medical. Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:These accusations are untrueMy complaint is VALIDI am very aware of how insurance works and what deductibles areChildish accusations & insults are apparently what to expect from Mango MedicalWhat a shameThis is a tight knit community and to have a local medical conglomerate treat members of the community this way is unexpected and unwelcome. Here is what actually transpired: My insurance covered a portion of the medical visitThe remaining balance was due to me (of course)Mango Medical sent me a bill for $I paid the bill on 6/1/with check number ***I have a copy of the cancelled checkHowever, up until today my balance was $… not zeroI have no idea where this number of $came fromI was never to my knowledge issued a bill for $If I had, I would have paid itVery simpleThe silly thing is that the billing customer service could have alerted me if they thought I owed more moneyI was in contact with them during the summer and they told me that I owed $I paid the bill but they did not credit my accountThey asked me for the check number and date and told me they would take care of itI supplied them with that information immediatelyThen they "lost" it and I provided them with the information a second timeMany months went by and they did not take care of itI was still receiving bills for $They ignored itThey ignored me right up until I had to file a complaint with the Revdex.com.And now they are trying to say this is my fault? How exactly? They refused to return my calls and emails for several monthsI am the one trying to clear up this situation and do the right thing.Regarding their claim that the practitioner had no right to give me financial advice: The provider did not give me financial advice of any kindWhat the heck are they talking about? BizarreI think I am seeing a disturbing pattern here. Please see attached bill from Mango Medical showing that as of 9/24/my balance due was $(which was paid in full in June)Not $Indisputable evidence from Mango Medical's own accounting departmentIf this was an internal miscommunication I don't blame you for itThings happenBut to ignore me for months when I am in the right is unacceptableThen to hurl insults and accusation when faced with your own blatant mistake is shocking. To remedy this complaint I need to see a bill in writing that shows that I have a zero balanceAnd an acknowledgement that this was their mistakeUntil then this complaint stands strong. As for the phone number on the back of my insurance card … yes, perhaps I should give them a call and let them know what transpired hereMaybe supply them this same bill along with the company's curious responseI'm sure they have a process in place to handle dishonest medical providersOr maybe this was all some kind of misunderstanding? I will await a responseI have certainly wasted too much time waiting on Mango Medical's responsesBut I am more than happy to put this behind us if they are willing to cooperate to remedy their mistakeSincerely, *** ***
