Review: I shipped a package with this vendor on 12/**/2014. The address was clearly a business address in a multi-tenant building in a downtown area. The vendor erroneously labeled the package for delivery to a residential address with no signature required upon delivery. The package was delivered 12/**/2015 around 6 pm (New Year's Eve after everyone in the building had gone home and the building was locked from the outside). [redacted], the shipping company, left the package outside the building in this busy commercial district and no one returned to the building to pick the package up until two days later. Obviously the package quickly disappeared and was never recovered. I have been in contact repeatedly with Manhattan Mailroom over the past two months to try to at least recover the cost of shipping and the $100 minimum insured value of the package. They have repeatedly said they would work with [redacted] on my behalf, but have not followed through. They have said that they would refund the shipping costs, which they have not. They have simply left me high and dry despite the fact that I lost several hundred dollars worth of otherwise uninsured personal items (some of them family heirlooms) and have not followed through on their promises to help.Desired Settlement: The business should refund me the approximately $400 value of the contents of the package that were lost, but barring that, my minimum recovery should be the $100 default insurance [redacted] provides plus all shipping charges.
