Review: I requested an estimate from Manhattan Window Fashion for blinds in my apartment in NYC.A [redacted] named [redacted] is the person I was working with. After a few weeks I decided to order the blinds. I spoke to [redacted] on Tuesday evening February **and had several questions about the order. I had not chosen the color of the blinds and we were not in agreement on how many motors should be used for the living room. [redacted] told me she would need my credit card number to confirm the install date, and that she would call me the next day to finalize the order. She said don't worry "I am not going to do anything until we talk." I waited the next day for a return call and finally at the end of the day I called her. She said she was in a meeting and would call me back. She never did, I decided not to use this company because as soon as they took my credit card information they would not contact me. I never signed a contract, so I wrote [redacted] an email on February **and told her I was canceling the order. She wrote back and said I could not because she had already placed the order. I knew this was not true because we hadn't chosen the color of the shades or how many motors we would use. I called my credit card company and found out she had charged a deposit of charged $10,844.00 to my credit card. I told the credit card company to dispute the charge. [redacted] finally called on Thursday and said she tried to call me, which was not true, I have called ID and there was not a call from her. I told her I was still canceling the order and to refund the deposit. Two days later I receive a call from her boss trying to talk me into using Manhattan Window Fashion. He was very pushy and insistent. I refused and asked him to please refund the deposit. Today is March **and no refund has been given.Desired Settlement: Since I canceled the order that was not to have been placed before being finalized and within several hours after contacting to [redacted]. I would like a refund back on my credit card because I am not using their services.
