As per our conversation yesterday, on behalf of M***'s Truck and Auto, I am responding to complaint ID # ***Let me begin by saying after reading Mr***'s complaint, I find little or no truth in his statement. On January 19, (please see attached invoice) Mr
***, Owner of *** *** *** *** brought us a vehicle seeking repair of inoperative windows and his radio cutting in and out, making no mention of speedometer issuesMr*** dropped the truck off the night before, depositing his keys in our overnight boxUpon our arrival on Friday January 19,and when attempting to pull Mr***'s vehicle into our repair facility, Mr***'s Ford truck would not startAfter diagnosing the vehicle, we notified the customer his starter was not working(The starter solenoid wire was burnt from the solenoid), He advised us he purchased the starter at *** stating it was under warranty. We gave Mr*** a price to replace the starter, telling him we'd have it removed by days endHe told us he would pick up another starter from *** and bring it to us in the morning to install, which we didOnce the truck was running, we were able to properly diagnose Mr***'s other concerns with the windows not working as well as the radio cutting in and outWe notified Mr*** of his truck needing a Gem module as well as a body ground strap as the vehicle has considerable rust which had caused loss of groundWe were given a verbal phone authorization to proceed with the repair, which we didWe spent well over hours on Mr***'s truck, while billing him total hours !Upon completion we called Mr*** to notify him his truck was ready for pickup, which he did at 5pm on the 21st of January, paying invoice#in cash at the time of pick up. I have read Mr***'s complaint several times and after doing so I've searched for additional invoices validating this gentlemen's claim, but I find noneAs you can see by the enclosed invoice, we repaired a radio and windows, which would have nothing to do with a wheel drive situationWE DID ADVISE Mr*** that his batteries were "weak" at the time of the starter replacement, but he again advised us he purchased them at *** and would take them back for warranty, which he didWe installed them for him free of charge at the time of the starter replacement. During the entire repair process, Mr*** kept bringing us his own parts, advising him several times that obviously we do not and can not warranty parts that are not ours, which he told us he understood. As far as wheel drive issues, Mr*** called our shop on the 25th, four snowy days after picking up his truck, stating "My wheel drive is not working", after accusing us of breaking his wheel drive, he stated "if you want to refund my $500.00, I won't take further action"I advised Mr.*** we've been in business well over years, our reputation not only in the automotive industry, but in the community is outstandingWe service cars per day, days a week, no complaints and an A rating with the Revdex.com. As you will see in the enclosed *** review within hours of this man stating his truck was in his driveway inoperable, we watched him plow snow across the street at *** *** ***Something started to sound fishy, so we researched Mr***'s name, finding out he owned a landscape company and then checked his rating with the Revdex.com, attached is what we found, he never once used a company name for the work performed on his vehicle, which is extremely puzzling as the repair of a company vehicle would be tax deductibleAs reflected in the gentleman's Revdex.com rating (F) as well as the numerous complaints, credibility issues stand out like a sore thumbIn our opinion, it is Mr***'s mission to fabricate a story in an effort to not only bully our good name and company, but to have a truck, with 228,miles repaired free of charge. *** In closing, we can only ask that you review the facts, the pictures that we've enclosed and our account of what really happened in the repair of Mr***'s vehicleThank you for your time, effort and consideration in the resolve of this complaint.
