July 22nd., 2014Manny's Air, LLC[redacted] Dear Revdex.com Representative:Manny's Air, LLC, does not agree with complain #[redacted] from various reasons. We have the original contract that says otherwise to the...

complaint. On Tuesday July 22nd we try to contact [redacted] from B&B Development Inc. General Contractorfor this job, but we leave a voicemail because our call was not answered.Sincerely,Manny,Manny's Air, LLC

Manny refuses to even offer a solution or fix. The ac is not going to last the 10 year warrenty that was promised. Manny and his company take advantage of elderly people who dont know how to check to see if everything was put in right pr if they were over priced for a crappy ac unit. I had the...

ac unit appraised on the value and it is only worth less than 1000 when I was charged 5000 for it. I would like my money back or at least 4000 back. I was screwed out of my money and treated like dirt by Manny and his employees. Manny is the one who violated the contract with the promise of the 10 year warranty and should take responsibility. There are alot of other customers who are not satisfied with mannys ac company either and none of their complaints were acknowledged or fixed.

First off, thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint from Mrs. [redacted] for the second time.
Respectfully, we wish to mention the conversation that we had with Mrs. [redacted] over the phone; we spoke about the written details in the contract where it was clearly stated that there was no service to be done to the ducts and that in the replacement of roof package units, working on ducts is an additional service that only proceeds after the request of the customer. Thus, it was not to our knowledge of any AC return issues. Those types of issues normally are detected during the inspections when a property is in the process of being purchased.
Returning to the conversation that we had with Mrs. [redacted], we offered to replace/Up-size return air flex for a reasonable price of $480.00. Yet, Mrs. [redacted] refused to accept our offer. To end, our offer mentioned previously still stands if she chooses to accept it.

Sincerely,

Review: Manny's air installed my AC unit wrong 2 yrs ago (4/13/11) as I just found that out ( I had called a different AC place to come take a look on 8/30/13 as water was warping my ceiling where the air ducts are) ) called them ([redacted] owner) to come fix the problem....AC unit was not placed right (not level) on the roof so the water (condensation) from the AC was coming back into my house through the air ducts causing damage in the one bedrooms ceiling. He (Manny's air) needed to replace the AC stand and close the gaps that were left open when the unit did not connect together on the outside as the air was going out through the roof. My AC man came back (9/4/13) all Manny's Air did was spray paint the stand and insert gel pads to raise the unit up (water still coming into my house) Called Manny's air yet again to come fix the problem, they finally did install a new stand, but did not hook-up the wiring right so I had HOT air coming into my house. I had to call my AC man to come fix the problem. I have ALL the documentation for the mess Manny's air has caused and my AC guys testimony to back me up on this. I still need to have my ceiling replaced where the water has come through because of Manny's air lack of work ethic. I don't understand how a company can stay in business when he does this kind of stuff to his customers.

You just really need to check this business out, it's not right that he can do this to customers and get away with it.Desired Settlement: First I would like an apolgy from [redacted] himslef for:

1) lying to me (he put my familys health on the line because there might be mold in the ceiling from all the water)

2) cheating me

3) yelling at me telling me that is was my fault

4) refund of $320 for the cost my my AC guy coming out.

I don't think a business who does this kind of work should be in business, he needs to have his license revoked and NEVER be able to work again to cause this mush stress and worry in a person...EVER....he failed on so many levels it was NOT funny. I will give you my AC guys name and you can talk to him on how he was treated doing this whole mess with Manny's air. I felt belittled by Manny himself....

Response:

To whom it may concern: We want to thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by Mrs. [redacted]. Before getting into the response, we would like to clarify that we: MANNY’S AIR LLC, Did not install the mentioned unit for Mrs. [redacted]. In fact no records exist in our system or files that contain any information of a contact, service call, sale, charge, installation nor do we have any record of a received form of payment of the unit in question. When I arrived to Mrs.[redacted]s home, she mentioned that her homeowners Insurance had gone through [redacted] for the replacement of her unit. We need to point out that the process or contract that she initiated with her insurance company for replacement was done solely with [redacted], a company with which Manny’s Air has no affiliation. We believe the confusion is based on an invoice that we discovered for the first time upon arriving at Mrs. [redacted]’s home. This invoice was given to her by a previous employee (who apparently did the installation on his own time and as a side job with no authorization to do so) The invoice only shows the sale of an extended labor warranty for the amount of $165.00.We should mention that Invoice #[redacted] with the date of 4/22/2011, as well as others in the year of 2011 were stolen from our offices. We are tracking these invoices as we get news of them and are trying to right a wrong that was not committed by us. However in an effort to protect our good name and possibly gain new customers, we are making it a practice to try and satisfy the customer. I have personally called on each and everyone one myself. We believe it is in our best interest to do this not to mention it is the moral and ethical thing to do. We hope to remedy all of these cases as they come up. We have bent over backwards to try and satisfy Mrs. [redacted]. In the end it was [redacted] who received payment for the unit from her insurance not us. Nonetheless we have tried to right a wrong and understand Mrs. [redacted]'s frustration. Like Ms.[redacted], we too are very disappointed and frustrated with this situation. Unfortunately we cannot control what ex-employees do on their own time. We have taken precautions so as to prevent this from ever happening again and can assure you that we always do the right thing as these cases come up, even if it leaves us with a financial loss. Finally we want to mention that we have all documentation that will support the facts in this letter. We have invoices of the metal stand being replaced on the first visit. As well as the crane operator invoice, and before and after photos of the work done. We also have a voicemail where Mrs. [redacted] cancelled an appointment that she made with our dry wall contractor (due to them not being able to accommodate her for an earlier date than the one she had previously requested) saying that she no longer wanted him to come out for the repair and that she would take care of it. We are at a loss as to what else we could have done. Sincerely,[redacted]Owner

Response:

I am VERY disappointed in Manny's Air's response as it WAS HIS son who installed my AC unit and he admitted that his son has a problem (he also told me his son is in rehab in Mexico) and stole some of his invoices and did the job on company time with Manny's logo invoices that why he doesn't have a copy of it cause his son does and he needs to stop passing the buck. I DO have a receipt/invoice with Manny's Air's so I DO NOT understand how he could be saying it was NOT his company who intalled my unit. I will send you the invoice both from my insurance company saying Manny's Air is the one who received the check and CASHED it and his invoice stating that they installed my AC unit. if you would like. Also he LIED about intalling the metal stand as MY AC guy called him on it as he just added gel pads to raise the stand and when my AC guy called him on it ONLY then did he replace the metal stand with a new one. The reason I cancelled his dry wall people was because of the way Manny's Air was handling the AC unit and I did not trust the people he was going to send out to do the job right. I will send ALL my receipts from both Manny's Air and my AC guy if you need me too. I am so done with ALL of Manny's lies just fess-up and take responsibility for your wrong doing and make it right!!!!!!!! I have another AC guys word on everything about the AC unit and I trust him as he has also had some run ins with Manny's Air and is giving him a hard time about fixing what Manny's Air did NOT. PLEASE do not let Manny's Air get away with this he DID NOT do what he said he did and I have proof of it and not only do I but also my AC guy.

Thank you,

Response:

To Whom it may concern:Thank you for the opportunity to respond for a second time to this complaint. First I would like to mention that having shared such personal information with Mrs. [redacted] in no way changes the circumstance. In regards to my business (Manny's Air) he was just an employee. This installation was done without authorization and I had no prior knowledge of it. The Only documentation we have received from Mrs.[redacted] is the attached Invoice [redacted]. Which only mentions the purchase by check #[redacted] of an extended 10 Year Warranty for the amount of $165.00. We would like to add that Manny's Air LLC never received even this check. We would greatly appreciate if Mrs.[redacted] could provide these further documents that she mentions so that we can look further into the matter. Sincerely, [redacted]Owner

Here is a copy from [redacted] showing that Manny's Air did in fact receive a check and CASHED it. So he was lying about never getting paid for putting on my AC unit. Now Manny you owe me an apology and $335.[redacted]

Review: Manny and Manny’s AC and heating were contracted to perform the work on necessary on [redacted] building in December, 2013. Prior to their work commencing we had two inspections completed with the first inspection identifying two of the units on the roof needing to be replaced, which were replaced prior to the purchase of [redacted] by [redacted] and the [redacted], LLC. There was a second inspection completed confirming the two units that needed to be replaced were done and were in proper working order and in addition verifying that all other units for the [redacted] building were in perfect working order and there were no other notated issues within the report as of the closing on October 17th, 2013.

Shortly thereafter we had begun the work on [redacted] for the renovation and updating of the property and in this case Manny’s Air and heating company work on the Air Conditioning and heating had begun. Which upon the signing of the contract and their commencement of all work they had assured us that all work would be performed to the AROC code and guaranteed this information as such.

They had performed the demolition of removal of any and all units or ductwork that was to be removed and then had relocated units and/or ductwork to the proper areas to provide balanced air conditioning and heating to the areas throughout the building. At this time, we had suspected there were some potential issues with the ductwork that was ran and whether or not we would have the correct balanced amount of Air and return ductwork throughout the entire building and upon the supposed completion it was demonstrated that surely we did not.

Many of the units throughout the building were not in proper working order, were never even tested or never even hooked up at all after their completion. We also discovered that not only did they not have over half of the units tested, but they did not even have connected lines to many of the units, nor did they have filters or original covers replaced on the units prior to attempting to getting them working again, but they also never balanced the air and in almost every case the units throughout the building were not even in working order at the time of their supposed completed finish of their work.

In addition to come to find out less the month after they said their work was finished and received final payment that we were to find out that they had removed all of the secondary drain pans that were originally on all of the units and therefore all of the units were leaking and causing even further damage to the building completely due to their inability to perform their work correctly and to code.

We placed many calls and made every attempt to try to get their company to come back out to complete their work correctly and they would not acknowledge our calls nor would they come back to the property to perform their work properly, within code and remedy the issues that their work have caused to the building and the performance of the Air Conditioning and Heating units throughout. At this point we have add ongoing issues with every single unit that they performed work on without the building and have spent more money trying to remedy the issue than was even originally paid to them for their work to begin with.

Hiring them was the biggest mistake that we made on this building and we have continually been reminded of it due to none of the units working properly, causing leaks and issues throughout the building, causing mold in all of the areas that the leaks are occurring. I am unsure as to how they are able to even contain a license as a licensed and bonded Air Conditioning and Heating company when their work is so far below the standards of the AROC that they prevent the safe working environment of our staff and continually their work causes issues within the building that should never be allowed by a Licensed Air Conditioning and Heating contractor. We have every intent to follow this complaint through to the fullest extent of the law and collect all damages and suffering caused by their lack of proper workmanship and integrity.Desired Settlement: At this point we have exhausted all measures in order to have Manny's Air to come and repair all of their work, therefore we have had to hire a separate licensed Air Conditioning Company in order to come back and repair all of their work and the damage they caused to the building while performing their work. Every single unit they performed work on was damaged and/or caused damage to the building and/or did not work properly or at all in many cases when they stopped performing their work on the Air Conditioning units in the building per their contracts. We have spent more money to fix all of the damage they caused and improper work which damaged the units or was never done correctly when they performed their contracted work. We are looking for a full refund of their work performed and in addition to this complaint we have filed a [redacted] complaint with the [redacted], also with the [redacted] office and if forced to will also be filing a lawsuit against Manny and his company to recover our damages. I would recommend his license to be revoked so that he cannot perform his unethical work and as a licensed HVAC contractor he did not perform ANY of his work to code, which is a violation against him as a Licensed HVAC Contractor. We will be proceeding to the fullest extent to recover our damages from Manny and Manny's Air A/C and heating [redacted].
