For me, there is no winner in this situation.  Regardless if they feel the transmission shop diagnosis was right or wrong, my car has been running well for almost 2 months and about 6,000 miles with no transmission issues.   I also do not understand why they sent me out the door with a car with very little transmission fluid knowing that running it dry would cause catastrophic transmission failure.  They did not even inform me it was leaking and almost empty!I did receive a check to reimburse me for the work done at the transmission shop and for that I am thankful.  I am still upset that I had to go to the Revdex.com and a local news channel for them to attempt to make amends for the situation.

Just a quick update regarding [redacted]. As a matter of goodwill, we decided to paint the entire car.

To Whom It May Concern:We at Joseph Subaru are regularly at the top of Subaru Corporate's listings of customer sales satisfactions rankings. As a matter of fact we were ranked #1 in the region last month. We pride ourselves on treating the customer right at every turn. That being said, I, [redacted]...

[redacted], as General Manager, am taken aback when anyone claims that we have "switched" a price. I have reviewed pages of e-mails that salesperson [redacted] saved regarding this internet transaction. 99% of which support [redacted] and the dealership's view on how the pricing was agreed upon. Mr. [redacted] had been in the store to have his trade appraised, but all other communication has been done via e-mail. There can be confusion regarding pricing and taxes being included or not included in a "out-the-door" or "final" price. We typically do not quote prices including tax until we finalize tax rates based on a customers home address. This is one case where taxes and how they were addressed came into play.Again, based on the pages of e-mails I reviewed, I can find one word on one line (out of several clear price quotes) that may be construed as taxes being included ("with" Indiana tax) in a quoted price. All other clearly state that quotes are "plus" tax. It is based on that one word that I have instructed [redacted] to contact Mr. [redacted] and honor the price he (Mr. [redacted]) thought he should be given. In no way is this an admission that [redacted] or Joseph Subaru did anything intentional to mislead the customer. Any accusation to that effect is offensive, and our track record backs up my feeling. In summary, Mr. [redacted] will be contacted, and his price will be honored. I apologize for any confusion regarding this entire matter. We also welcome Mr. [redacted] as a customer and look forward to a long and happy business relationship.Sincerely,[redacted]General ManagerJoseph Subaru

[redacted] confirmed that the signed letter has been received by mail and the matter has been resolved.

My girlfriend and I both own the car I cosigned for her to get it so my name is on it but she is the initial owner

Hello I had emailed you back about my complaint with joseph subaru. I hadn't responded to subaru's response because it said that they agreed to paint the car out of good will. When I went up there to talk to them they said well we are only going to paint the top hood and trunk. That's all fine however the damage is on the side doors as well and that was part of the panels that they fixed. I also found out through closer inspection that they rushed the job and didn't put the inner door panels on properly leaving the window switch tweaked to the left and clips weren't put back where they were supposed to be, and there was a few broken screw covers that were just placed back in. This has been nothing but a nightmare and I just want my 2016 subaru to make it through 2017 without rust. I do not know why they would agree to paint it online but then tell me they are only painting half.

[redacted]Please accept my apologies for the delay in my response. Month end can be a very busy time for me and I wanted to carefully craft my response in accordance with your letter’s recommendations. If you research my history with the Revdex.com, you will find I have always been supportive of your...

mission, I believe in your process, and I appreciate the work that you do. We all strive for fairness in any of these situations. 1)      We do not have [redacted] on record here as owner of the 2016 Subaru in question. The vehicle belongs to a [redacted], and attempts to contact her at any point have been unsuccessful.2)      We typically do not discuss matters regarding a vehicle with people that can’t prove ownership in some fashion.3)      In this case however, in an effort to assist, we reviewed the situation, and did see issues with the paint on the vehicle. We also sent pictures to Subaru Corporate, and they were of the opinion as we were, that something had landed on the paint and caused the issue. The shape of the blemishes reflect the shape of some sort of seed pod, which can happen when a car is parked under certain trees, and the organic matter/material is not removed in a timely fashion. The degeneration of said material can damage any painted surface.4)      We had contracted with a vendor to perform the paintless dent repair on 11/14/2017. The issue with the paint was reported to us on 6/2/2017, 6.5 months later. Again, we did no actual paint work to the car in this instance. We had previously painted the hood and front right fender from an accident on 8/31/2016. The current paint issues are on all flat surfaces of the car, hood, roof, and trunk.   5)      We have used this paintless dent removal vendor on countless Subaru’s, as we have with other makes and models. We have had with no reported issues with paint after the fact.6)      The gentlemen that contacted the Revdex.com, on virtually each contact with us, from the beginning, has used abusive and inappropriate tone and language. Again, he is not the owner of the vehicle.7)      In conclusion, I will offer no further remedy or assistance in this case as I, and my experts in my body shop, accept no responsibility for any issue with the paint. We also ask that the gentlemen who contacted the Revdex.com in this matter not contact us. If there are any questions, we will gladly discuss things with [redacted], the owner of the vehicle.  Thank You,Andrew C. H[redacted] General Manager - Joseph Auto Group[redacted]

[redacted]  Note: Please find attached my transmittal to [redacted], General Manager, as it relates to his response to the Revdex.com. It is included as a matter of record and as an item of clarity given there was the contention that 'confusion' was to blame. I have not received a reply from Mr. [redacted] and do not expect to. The car purchase transaction has been completed. Kudos to the Revdex.com for your professional, thorough, and expedient follow-up. Thank you.
