Review: I bought a used 1987 porsche 944 for 3800 dollars using a combination of cash and check in the summer or 2011. At the time of purchase I was told that there was "absolutely nothing wrong with the car". That was a lie. On my way home from buying the car, the car shutdown on my at a stop light at a busy intersection. Later on this was discover to be caused by the malfunctioning computer in the car. Long story short, and 4000 dollars later, the car was still giving me problems. Everything from the rack and pinion, master/slave cylinder, clutch, and computer needed fixing! I have receipts for everything. every other month, even with limited miles put on the car, I was in the shop! During that time the car had been towed in excess of 6 times! The final issue (nov/dec 2012) was an overheating problem due to oil in the coolant (a problem which I noticed during the first oil change after I bought the car). I took it to [redacted] auto to have it repaired, for 1 week they tested different things to get it up and running. All of which seemed to fail. The only alternative was to rebuild the top of the engine. After spending much of my savings on the car, I have no more money for the estimated "2-3000 dollars" worth of work needed. I reached an agreement with the owner to leave the car there on consignment, saying that if any one came in asking about the car/wanting to purchase it, to give me a call. Months go by and I go in to chat about any potential buyers showing interests, and to pick up my license plates. he gives me my license plates, but asks me for my title. I thought I was a strange request and asked him what for? Thats when he says HE was now the owner of the car, and because I left the car with him for so many months he went to the dmv and "legally" took possession of it. Needless to say I was upset. First he was untruthful about the status of the car when I bought it, prompting me to dump another $4000 into the car, and now he telling me he now owns it and needs $2500 more if I want it back!Desired Settlement: First I need that car back! I am still a student making pennies and spent over $7000 on a car I barely drove 4000 miles! Lastly, the shoddy clutch job he performed, I would like refunded so I can go to a shop who actually knows how to perform said job. The amount of money I lost due to constant repairs, and missed job shifts because of breakdowns is tremendous. But I will not sue or come after him for that! all I want is my car, so I can get on with life and put this horrible episode behind me.
