Mansion Movers Reviews (1)

Review: On August 30th we closed on our house that we just recently purchased. We had talked to Luxury Movers or Luxury Moving Specialist owner Tim a month in advance. My husband is military so we have done a number of moves across the U.S. and him some outside so we know how a professional company is suppose to pack. When we spoke with Tim he said it would be no problem he had a few trucks and we would be taken care of to start on August 31st so we went ahead and put down a deposit for $425 and was quoted $1200 and was told if it was to go over it wouldn't be by much maybe $100. The 31st comes up and they show up 2 hours late to start packing in a car. They packed for 2-3 hours and ran out of boxes. When they leave Tim requests money for the truck. So I forked out $400 on the spot. Now these two I have receipts for. They show up the next day again 2 hours late in a Budget truck. As we are leaving he again asks for gas money for the truck. I gave $40.00 and they did not get done until 9-9:30 that night. Before he leaves he is trying to get the rest of the money so I again I handed out the remaining $660 that the last contract had on it. They show up 3 hours late the next day all while I'm pregnant and my husband is on a pass for a time framed move. A total of $1525 $325 more than his original quote. Then as I'm leaving to meet my husband to get the last of our belongings he "forgot" to add taxes into that and we owed another $200 that we payed. Well when they finally finished he again tried to get us to pay another $100-$200 which we simply did not have. Now I have pictures of how they packed our stuff. When they ran out of boxes they took the large wraps threw our stuff in it glass and all wrapped it up and tied it off. There were live plants in the bottom of boxes with heavy items on top, there were glass lamps and crystal odds and ends thrown in the boxes or wraps with no wrapping. I have yet to find my daughter's tablet, soccer trophy, & my perfume. They have other contact info as well.Desired Settlement: I just want others to be warned of such a lousy, and unprofessional service. I would love to be able to explain more to a Revdex.com representative. I'm still in search of my daughter's trophy which is not replaceable and if could just get reimbursement on my missing items that would be wonderful. We paid for a service that was falsely advertised, there were no inventory sheet done and we had to use our own vehicles to put stuff into and could not get the rest of our receipts. Questionable business
