To Whom it May Concern,I am the stylist, Charlotte V[redacted], who the complaint was filed about. I have been doing hair for 12 years and have had no complaints up to this point. I would like to explain myself as well as let you know that I have two other people in the salon who...

heard my consultation and can back me up. I am a professional and would have no problem refunding someone if they aren't happy or don't get what they want... but in this case... it's a principle thing and truly feel she doesn't deserve her money back. The client came in for a haircut $70 and a single process color $55. So I also don't know why she's claiming that her "color service" was $120. When I consulted with her about what she wanted...she showed me a picture of very blonde hair. I explained that what she wanted was a double process and we didn't have time scheduled for that. I had clients back to back for the rest of the day. I was 2 days away from going on maternity leave and she was aware of that. I gave her the option to just get the cut and she could go elsewhere for the color. She insisted on getting the color. She had over 6 inches of roots(hadn't had color in about a year) and I told her the best could do was match her ends. That any lighter would have to be bleached and then toned down. She insisted on color so she was fine with matching her ends. I explained that she would have to follow up with someone else to get highlights since would be gone if she wanted what she originally showed me. She stated how Warm her hair on the ends was, so I made sure she was aware the color was going to do would be warm as well. That you can only lift her hair color level so light with Color (not using bleach)... causing warmth. We agreed on all accounts. I even double checked stating several times what color it would be and making Sure we agreed. Our receptionist and the stylist next to me heard her as well. When I went in the back to mix color...I even talked to the stylist who heard to make sure I was going about the color choice the right way. She said it's exactly what she would do as well. I proceeded. After all was said and done...I gave her an exact match the color on her ends. I felt it was a success. The only thing she said was she felt very blonde...I responded saying that it was probably better we didn't go with what she originally asked for in that case. I suggested lowlights instead of highlights on her follow up appointment. She said she would do that.
She went so far as to reschedule with me on my return in 12 weeks. That doesn't seem like someone who was unhappy. It wasn't until 4 days later when I was finally on maternity leave that she complained. She was mad because she would have to pay for future color. I told her that from the beginning before we did her Color, and she was fine with that.
I can have the two witnesses write you as well. I'd like to keep a good rep. have many clients who have come to me for at least 10 years and get color regularly. I hope this explanation helps clear my name with you.
As for the owner of my salon, I felt good when he backed me and told her there was nothing we could do for her. There were 3 of us telling him she was straightup being dishonest. That's the kind of person I like to work for, someone who backs me. Please don't penalize his business on this false account.
Thank you for your time,Charlotte V
