Review: Took 5th Wheel in to Manteca RV on several occasions to have a number of items fixed that were not working properly. It was still under warranty and were told they would fix it as soon as possible. It took approximately 3 months and several of the major items they supposedly fixed are now worse than when we brought it in to them. The refrigerator makes a louder noise than previously and the floor now makes a loud noise throughout the entire 5th wheel, not just in the bedroom as previously. The underbelly panel was supposed to be replaced and was NOT and is now sagging lower. Feel the workmanship was shoddy at best and we were given a lot of lip service. We feel this dealer was difficult to get our issues resolved in a timely manner. All we ever asked for was to have our items fixed properly as promised under the warranty.Desired Settlement: We want all the items that are still at issue to be fixed or else we want a replacement or a refund.

Review: The untimely manner in which service/repairs have been or are being completed.

Our fifth wheel RV was taken to Manteca Trailer on May 14th, 2013 for a Kitchen slide repair. It has been eighty six days and our RV has yet to be delivered with needed repairs.

We have an extended warranty purchased at the time we purchased the RV. Manteca Trailer opened a claim with Choice Protection Plan for plan coverage. It was determined early on Choice would not pay for most of the expense siting "Physical" damage. We were not happy but our RV needed to be repaired. The next step was to determine what parts were needed from Lippert and order the parts. This took weeks. My husband made several trips to check on progress and was met by [redacted] the service writer saying, "Who are you?" This occurred on more than one occasion. Finally the parts arrived and they began to work on our RV. At the time the slide was dismanteled for repair it was clear what had occured to result in slide failure. This was communicated to my husband by [redacted], in the service dept. It was determined that the bracket actually broke and was not physical damage at all. NO they did not reopen the case with Choice Protection. Again my husband went to Manteca so they would call Choice to re-open our claim. I feel they, as a service provider and authorized Heartland Dealer, should pick up the phone and provide Choice with the discovery. Choice would NOT talk to us about the claim. Choice agreed to cover the larger part of the claim, which is acceptable to us. But again, we had to open that door. Now for the past four weeks we have been promised our repairs to be completed and our RV returned to us. Each week we were given another excuse for something going amiss. Today August 7, 2013 we were told our RV would be ready by 3:00pm. We requested a meeting with General Manager, [redacted] and was told he would be there at 4:30pm. We arrived to pick up our RV prior to 4:30 and were told they were making a minor adjustment. My husband proceeded to the service bay as Mr. [redacted] was unlocatable. [redacted] in service told my husband they order the wrong part basically and were trying to make it work. Yes we had a mini trip planned for my birthday but we certainly didnt want them to "make it work"

Bottom line, we did not get our RV and we did not talk to Mr. [redacted]

This is unacceptable service. Not only did [redacted] not return calls he choose to send e-mails and avoid confrontation. This is one family that will NEVER return to Manteca Trailer for ANYHTING and we plan on telling our RV friends and family the same.Desired Settlement: I would like our mileage re-imbursed for eight trips to Manteca Trailer totalling $264. Three months storage re-imbursment totalling $495., and the freight expense of $216.79 for a grand total of $975.79

Business' Initial Response

We have met Mr. [redacted] request for reimbursement for fuel and storage and presented him a check, which he graciously accepted, for $759.00 and wrote off $216.79 in freight charges. This situation does not reflect how we do business, Manteca trailer, [redacted] RV, and [redacted] components apologies for the inconvenience that we caused the [redacted]. We warrant our repairs for two years on labor.

Yes it is true Manteca Trailer did reimburse us the requested amount of compensation. This is the least they could have done. We already cancelled one vacation and were fast approaching the scheduled 3 to 4 week trip to South Dakota on August 19, 2013. What you don't know until you spend time in your RV is how things are put back together. Now having been able to travel we discovered that the trim around our kitchen slide was removed and "tacked" up just any which way. The refrigerator was not reinstalled correctly and remains out of line.

Would we want to return to Manteca Trailer to have these things corrected? I think NOT!!!

We wouldn't consider our acceptance of the $759. gracious at all. It was the correct action for Manteca Trailer. Why do we feel like they did us a favor? They couldn't wait to resolve this issue. In my humble opinion the issue remains unresolved.
