First I would like to say I am Yvonne S*** my husband and I have owned Manvel Auto Care since Mr*** first came to our shop on April with the complaint of his air condition not blowing cold from ventsDavid S*** gave him an estimate on how much check out and
cost of freon would be should he need it Mr*** agreed so we proceeded with check out Upon completion of the check out Mr*** was verbally informed vehicle was low on freon and the compressor was weak but may make it through the summer although we could not guarantee it wouldMr*** also received a state inspection on his vehicle while it was here for the A/C service on April When Mr*** left he was satisfied with the repair and paid the $($was for A/C service including tax ) and ($for state inspection) Mr*** has no justified reason for asking for a refund on the first visit On the morning of September Mr*** came in to our shop for the second time with same complaint of the A/C not working properlyAt that time Mr*** was told that he was going to need a compressor and was given a verbal estimate of $by David S*Mr *** proceed to tell MrS*** he wanted him to do the job for $MrS*** told him he could not that estimate would be in the $rangeMr*** left his name and phone number on the sign in sheet and left the vehicle for repairsAt 3:pm Mr*** called and asked if his vehicle was ready I Yvonne S*** answered the phone and told Mr*** the mechanic was still working on it and we would call him when repairs were doneMr*** said that was fine and we ended the callWhen the mechanic was done with repairs we found another issueThe relay to the cooling fans was not working properlyDavid S*** called to get a relay and found that no parts supply had one in stockAt that time David S*** called Mr*** to let him know we would need to keep the vehicle over nightMr*** did not answer and left a message that he needed to speak with him about the car and to return his call Mr*** called back and David S*** informed Mr*** about the relay and that part was not in stock and we would not receive it until the morning of September At that time Mr*** asked MrS*** what his total was with the relay and MrS*** told him it was $then and only then did Mr*** say he didn't want the repairs done and said he wanted to pick up the carMrS*** explained it was not ready and he could not change his mind after repair are doneThey ended the phone call and shortly after the call Mr*** and another young man we had never seen before came in with Mr*** and said they were here to pick up the vehicleDavid and I Yvonne S*** then both explained if was not ready and they could not have the vehicle unless he paid the $Mr*** didn't say much the young man with him was speaking for Mr*** at that point.The young man stated Mr*** never gave permission for repairs and he was waiting for a phone call all day with an estimateI (Yvonne) told him if he was waiting for an estimate why did he call at 3:and ask if the vehicle was ready? Mr*** denied the conversation with me and then the young man with MrK*** stated he was going to call the brazoria county police and we informed him he needed to call Manvel PD because he was in Manvel city limitsDavid S*** informed him he would call and have Manvel PD come down and explain the law for himDavid S*** then picked up the phone and called Manvel PD and Mr*** and the young man walked outside and called Manvel PD as well and waited for them to arriveWhen Manvel PD arrived Mr*** and the young man spoke with the officer and then came in to continue conversation about the vehicle the officer explained to them that it was a civil matter and if they wanted the care back they would have to pay the amount and then take us to courtThe officer was recording the entire conversation and Mr*** and the young man denied MrS*** gave him a verbal estimate and denied Mr*** asked MrS*** if he could do the job for $During the debate Mr*** slipped and stated MrS*** told him $and the young man slipped and said Mr*** asked MrS*** to do the job for $In the end I Yvonne S*** asked if they needed Manvel PD to return with them in the morning to pick up the vehicle and the young man said yes so I told him to call Manvel PD and have them meet them here when they came backThe next morning a women called and asked if the car was ready we said yes Mr*** and the young man arrived (without the police) paid the balance in cash I printed the invoice and asked him to sign the invoice which he refused and I told him that was fine and he was given the keys and they left If the vehicle's A/C is not working he is welcome to bring the vehicle back and we will check it out for him the statement made about being terrified to contact us is uncalled forMr*** and the young man with him wanted the police called which we complied and calledWe have been in business for a long time now we have a good business and don't have issues like this and that is because we communicate with our customers and give estimates nine times out of ten verbally before repair is done and in doing so has made us a successful repair facilityAs stated before if there is a problem with the repair Mr*** is more than welcome to bring the vehicle back

They the business is saying their side of the story but, the truth is we are ready to prof that the work was done without our permissionWE NEVER SIGNED ANY FORMS REGARDING Authorization to work on our vechcle and Never gave Verbal agreement moreover after we payed $for the repair,we took the car back from the business, on the way back from this company the A/c broke again while I was drivingI then took the car to Toyota dealership and the dealership determined the job was not done properly and this shop completely butchered the workIt cost us $700+ to fix the damage that was done to the carWe have written paperwork and documents to show thisSo, how can I take a car back to this customer when they do not even know how to fix it properly? Yes I am still terrified to walk into that service company or call themI am years old senior citizen who got taken advantage ofThis was an unnecessary expense that forced on to meI took a loan out to pay this company and then another &fix their mess, I am now force to sell my Only Car to payback the loan

I would like to see the invoice to the repairs done by the Toyota dealership. We replaced the compressor and replaced a relay there is no way to butcher that you merely remove and replace no other rigging to be done. I can only offer to check out the problem if they refuse then I see no other way I can help them. They must give me the opportunity to check out the car to see if the problem was any fault of ours if there is in fact a problem. The customer was told vehicle was under warranty so I see no reason not to bring it back. There are more components to the a/c that could have failed we only replaced parts we gave the customer an estimate for. At that time a/c was working properly customer made sure parts were replaced before they left my premises. Customer should have brought the vehicle back let us check it out. If there in fact was another issue other than what we repaired they would of had the opportunity to have it repaired at another facility if they choose to do so.  If a part failed that we replaced it is under warranty and would be replaced at no charge to them. We at Manvel Auto Care do our best to ensure our customers are satisfied with our service if they are unwilling to return and give us the opportunity then it is out of my control. I feel we have made every effort to help this customer and they have refused my offer.
